I’d never seen a California king, so I had no opinion on that, but Tanner was bobbing his head at Huston’s comment so I tended to believe they were right.
“It’s an Alaskan king. I thought it would be big enough for all of us.” Candrin shoved hishands in his front pocket.
“It’s big enough for all of us and an entire state.” I crossed the room and toed off my shoes before climbing on top of it. “It feels good to me.”
That earned me a smile from my mate.
My brothers came over next and did the same. All three of us were in agreement that the bed was perfect. We’d have tried it out right then and there, but Saul came and let us know a meal was waiting.
“I guess we can’t give it a test run until tonight.” I bent down to collect my shoes. “I love it mate.” I gave Candrin a kiss. “And I love the idea of each of us having our own space as well as this.”
My brothers agreed and Candrin went into the story of how he discovered the huge mattress online as we walked down to the dining room. This time we did take different hallways and a staircase that I had a feeling had once been only for servants back in the olden days.
We ate a delicious meal, brought our boxes up to the adjoining suites to our new master bedroom, and took a long hot shower complete with orgasms before collapsing onto our brand new bed for the first time. Maybe moving wasn’t so bad after all.

Get worked up
“Are you sure you don’t want a snack?” Molly asked as she took a tray out of the oven. The aroma was unmistakable; they were her famous chocolate chip cookies.
“Maybe one… or two.”
She put at least six in a container and handed them to me. They were my favorite. “I never baked them for him,” she let on.
Turned out Charles AKA Bobby had pestered Molly and Saul about what I liked to eat, my hobbies, where I spent most of my time in the house. Not only had hetaken everything from me but he wanted to be me. Ewww, that was weird.
Despite Saul and Molly being human, they didn’t question my lifestyle of living with three men. Yes, they didn’t know we were mated and they for sure had no idea my mates had bears inside them. Maybe if my mates had been like Bobby… oh shudder at the thought… Saul and Molly would have had a problem with me sharing a bed with three men.
Not that we did that every night and the pair didn’t live in my house. But they weren’t fools and refused to hide my affection for my mates. We shared kisses and cuddles, we pinched one another on the butt and shared loving glances. That was who we were and I wasn’t shutting that down all because it might shock Molly and Saul.
But Tanner, Huston and Oberon charmed them, treated them like an aunt and uncle and insisted they have weekends off.
That was a wake up call for me because when Father was alive and we were both living in the house, the pair had Saturday afternoons and Sundays off. Though they were paid well and had aseparate home on the grounds, I’d never considered they should be given more free time.
I got in my car, the one I’d leased out but I’d broken the lease and compensated the guy over and above what I needed to, so he was happy. Today wasn’t a day off. I’d taken leave since Bobby was arrested and we moved into my childhood home. Working with the lawyer, there was so much paperwork to go through, I couldn’t perform adequately at the office and wasn’t able to concentrate on all that needed to be done at home.
But today I wasn’t reading the fine print on documents relating to shares and bonds, I was visiting first Oberon and then Huston at their workplaces. They’d been begging me to come and I’d finally agreed. I just wished I could do the same for Tanner, but he was a pilot and no one could get into the building at the airport where the flight crew congregated unless they had security clearance.
Oberon worked at a plant nursery and I was eager to see him put his hands deep in the dirt. Maybe we could sneak a kiss behind a potted palm. I could watch as he lopped off a dead branch. Whatever it was, it was certain to get me hot and bothered so maybe we couldhave sex in a shed. I was looking forward to getting dirty with my mate.
When I arrived, I hovered near the entrance, scanning for Oberon outside, amid the rows of palms, succulents and evergreens. I didn’t see him, so I wandered inside. Orchids of every description adorned the large space along with hanging baskets, while rows of ferns, sprawling vines and other plants I couldn’t name sat in pots.
Oberon was at the end of a row chatting to a customer. He didn’t turn in my direction and his eyes didn’t flicker, suggesting he’d seen me, but there was a hint of a grin on his lips and he shifted his feet, something he often did when he scented me.
I busied myself inspecting the orchids and wondered if I should buy some. But Oberon had been checking out the greenhouse at home and noting how Bobby had neglected Father’s prized orchids. Maybe I’d lethimchoose orchids that preferred the greenhouse as there were many different types. Some liked a lot of light while others preferred part shade.
This issue of money was a prickly one now I had lots of it. True I didn’t have as much as when Father was alive as Bobby hadsquandered some on a race horse, booking a seat on a spacecraft traveling to Mars in the long-distant future—what a shame he hadn’t gone and Earth would have been rid of him—and a Ferris wheel. A Ferris wheel? Luckily city bylaws prevented it being placed in the grounds of the house.
But I still had millions, plus my home and a holiday home at the beach. That reminded me I hadn’t told my mates about that yet.
I wouldn’t expect Oberon to pay for the plants and if I had him choose some, I hoped there wouldn’t be an argument. Money was an awkward topic now. We’d have to sit down and work out a plan because my mates would not be content to have me pay for everything.
“Hi, gorgeous.” He greeted me with a kiss and introduced me to some of his colleagues. “Let me show you around.” He pointed out and named plants, telling me which would be suitable in which room of our home. I noted him saying “our home” and was pleased we’d gotten over that hurdle and that my mates saw my childhood home as theirs.
We wandered outside and he told me what he’d like to do with our extensive gardens. I nodded my head and agreed. I’d have said yes to anything as I was so excitedat him making plans to beautify the huge space. Father had preferred an orderly garden with clipped hedges and borders but Oberon preferred something more riotous.
