“The bookworms friend.” I smile. “Did you enjoy tonight’s game?”

“It was fun.” She smiles. “Have you seen Dove?” She asks me.

“No, I’m sorry. I haven’t seen her since the hunt started.”

“Why does she always leave before the game?” She mutters more to herself than to me.

“Maybe she’s not a game person.”

“Well, she could tell me she was leaving.”

“I’m sure she is tucked up in bed.” I smile as I usher her out of the house, eager to get back to my little bird, who is waiting for me in the woods.

“Well, goodnight.” She says and I simply nod, give her a smile and close the door.

Racing through the house, I check to make sure none of my guests have lingered and find that I’m completely alone.

Grabbing the mask, I place it back on my face to hide my true identity before I race back through the woods and find her sleeping with that apple still taped to her mouth.

I pick up her tattered clothes and stuff them in my pocket as I unhook her from the chains that bound her as my prey to the tree. Her body slumps to the ground.

Poor little thing was exhausted.

Taking the tape from her mouth, I release her from theapple that is now dripping with her cum and spit and, taking a bite, I swallow it.

Delicious.

Scooping her frail, tired little body into my arms, I walk back to the estate with her unconscious body pressed against mine.

Walking to the door that is adjacent to the kitchen, I walk down the iron steps to the hidden tunnels that Victor had built once the madness had set in. It was where he conducted his finest, depraved work.

The tunnels are clean and rustic, the dark corridor is dimly lit by candles on the stone wall to light the way.

Walking into the room I had prepared for her, I unlock the steel cage that is no bigger than a dog crate and lay her little body inside, stroking her soft raven hair and moving it from her face. “Sweet dreams.” I whisper into her skin before locking the cage and walking back towards the estate.

The next morningI sit in my kitchen enjoying a steaming cup of coffee, ready to start the day, when a rapping at the door drags me from my peaceful morning.

Opening the door there stands two police officers and Dove’s annoying little friend.

She was becoming a nuisance.

“Well, aren’t you going to do something?” She demands of the two men.

“What can I help you with, gentlemen.” I ask, giving them my best inviting smile.

I wasn’t exactly surprised they were here. It was only amatter of time, but I didn’t expect them to arrive at my door so soon.

“Christina says this was the last place her friend was seen. She hasn’t shown up to work this morning, and it doesn’t look like she got home last night.”

Shit, she had a job? Well, that was something I wasn’t expecting. I probably should have covered all grounds before I took her, but I wasn’t exactly thinking clearly.

“Well, there is nobody here except me.” I look at their faces and I’m not sure if they believe me. “Of course, you’re welcome to come in and take a look.”

“We wouldn’t want to impose.” The elderly of the gentlemen speaks.

“If it gives this young lady a peace of mind, I’m happy to oblige.” I smile.

I was happy for them to search my home because I knew they wouldn’t find anything. I wasn’t stupid enough to leave her somewhere they could find or hear her.
