“Of course I am. Now you go get ready to pick up your parents and let me handle the rest.”

“You know it’s kind of sexy when you take charge?” Autumn grinned wickedly.

“Is it?” Quinn asked returning Autumn’s grin.

“Oh it definitely is.”

“Well keep that in mind for tonight when your parents go back to their hotel room,” Quinn teased.

“Trust me, if you pull this off I promise you’ll be well compensated when my parents go to their hotel for the night.”

Quinn felt like she might pass out and die on the spot. Her core instantly tightened at Autumn’s words. Autumn gave a little wave as she walked to her bedroom to get dressed. Any other time Quinn would have followed Autumn to the bedroom. Tonight, she was on a tight deadline with a lot of moving pieces. There would be time for bedroom pursuits later, Autumn had promised as much.

Quinn’s first call was to her servers. She assured them that they would be paid well for the evening, and both women readily agreed. Special events always paid more than normal nights. Her next call was to Brynn, who was excited to help out. Quinn hung up the phone and breathed a sigh of relief. So far the evening was going better than expected.

She stuck her head inside Autumn’s bedroom and took a sharp inhale. Autumn stood wearing nothing but a black lace thong and bra. A matching set, that sent shock waves through Quinn’s body. Autumn was analyzing two dresses on the bed, one red and one black. She turned to Quinn and smiled when she saw the expression on her face. Apparently, the woman already knew her tells.

“Which dress?” Autumn asked simply.

Quinn looked over the two options.

“The black one. You can’t go wrong with a black dress,” Quinn chuckled.

“I like how you think,” Autumn grinned.

“I’m going back to my place to get changed and set up the bar.”

Autumn took one step in her direction but Quinn held up her hand halting her.

“Listen, if you take one more step I might lose my sense of reason, and we’re on a tight deadline. It kills me to leave. Literally, I might die if I don’t get you out of that thong soon. But I want this night to be perfect for you and your parents. So I’m going to take a mental snapshot and get out of here,” Quinn laughed.

“You’re perfect,” Autumn chuckled.

“And you’re distracting,” Quinn teased.

“Just remember you’ll get exactly what you want later tonight.” Autumn’s voice took on a deep velvety rasp that sent shivers up Quinn’s spine.

“Hmm exactly what I want?” Quinn asked.

“Everything to your exact specifications,” Autumn promised.

Quinn took one more look at Autumn and sighed deeply. Even after having seen Autumn naked several times, the sight of her in that thong was enough to make Quinn’s heart beat harder. She blew Autumn a kiss and turned to leave. She knew if she didn’t leave now she might never go.One dinner,Quinn repeated to herself. She was determained to make tonight better than Autumn could have imagined.

Chapter 24

Autumn walked over to the full length mirror in her bedroom. She knew that she looked good. The black dress fit her well and highlighted her features in an attractive way. Even so, she wasn’t quite sure it looked good enough dinner with her parents. She would have these doubts no matter which outfit she chose. Autumn forced herself to smile at her reflection. Her parents were a running commentary in her head, so constant that those voices had become her inner dialogue.

Her parents,James and Moira were waiting for her luggage in hand when Autumn pulled up to the curb at the airport. Her Father subtly glanced down at his designer Patek Philippe watch, a subtle sign that Autumn had kept her parents waiting.Off to agreat start, she told herself.

Moira came around to the back of the car where Autumn loaded her luggage into the trunk. She gave Autumn a long look before smiling approvingly and bringing her in for a quick hug. Her Father was already seated in the passenger side seat of the car. Autumn’s eyes gave him a quick glance.

“I guess we should get going,” Autumn smiled at her Mom.

“You know how hungry your Father gets when he travels,” Her Mom offered.

Autumn sighed as she walked around to her car door.

“It’s good to see you, sweetie,” James said with a stiff smile.
