There isn’t another woman in all of Eden who could take me from you, little mate, nor is there another man who could take you from me.
I won’t allow it.
Please take the money and buy whatever you wish. You could wear a horse’s saddle, and I’d still dream of having you in every way possible.
I apologize for making you doubt that.
Viciously Yours,
Nick
P.S. The saddle was a bad example because all I can think about is ripping it off and riding you hard.
Amelia pressed the letter to her chest with wide eyes. Who was this man?

ONE YEAR LATER
Finn winked at Tara, the barmaid at an inn in Friya, and raised his mug. Rennick’s obsession with Amelia had become concerning. He sent Finn to deliver letters and random gifts almost every week.
With the rebels neutralized, Finn often opted to travel the day before and make a night of it, sometimes to get Amelia a different gift and chuck whatever stupid thing Ora had convinced Ren to buy, but mostly to enjoy his time with different women in town.
Tara was his favorite, and since Ren sent Amelia harmless chocolates from the Tropical Kingdom, it gave Finn extra time to fuck the pretty barmaid until she covered hisback in scratches.
TWENTY-THIRD BIRTHDAY
Letter # 148
Happy Birthday, Love,
My days grow dire the longer we’re apart, and I cannot see you nearly enough to quench my need to have you here with me.
The sky seems dimmer and the snow colder without you, but our time apart will end soon.
Enjoy the chocolate delicacies from the Tropical Kingdom. Ora went on a trip not long ago and brought them back for you, knowing your birthday was coming up.
Viciously Yours,
Nick
P.S. The number of times you came last night was impressive, but I think we can do better.
Amelia gagged and spat out the chocolate-covered slug. Her eyes watered as she sputtered and coughed, vowing to poison Ora if ever given the chance.
With her mouth freshly rinsed, she scooted back against her headboard and turned her eyes to the rising sun. Pressing her hand to her chest, she closed her eyes and tried hard to push her thoughts to her mate.
His melancholy words pricked at her heart, and while she didn’t know how to send an emotion intentionally, she tried her hardest to send him joy.
This wasn’t the first time she’d tried to soothe him when his letters held an air of sadness, nor would it be her last.
