Pinned to the ground, her legs forced wide by my body, I have free rein and I take advantage.

I do as promised.

I eat her.

I lick her.

And I drive her straight up and over the edge, screaming my name.

Iscream so loud my throat is raw and I wonder why no one has come to see what’s going on.

Carter is crawling up my body—my completely limp, sated body. Every part of me feels softer than a marshmallow held over a campfire.

Looming over me, grin wide, he says, “Good?”

I can only nod.

“More?”

Oh yes. Definitely more. “Please.” The word whispers through my dry lips.

He leans back on his heels and strips off his shirt to reveal a chest and abs I had no idea existed in real life. I didn’t get a good look at him last night. We’d been in such a rush, and then I’d all but bolted before I had a chance to explore this gorgeous specimen of a man. I won’t make that mistake tonight.

Reaching out, I run my hands up his bare chest. “You’re gorgeous.”

Carter chuckles. “Lifting kegs will do that for a guy.”

I have no idea what he means and don’t care. The result is what matters. “I want to explore all of you.”

“Not now. Later.”

“Later?”

He grins at me. “After I fuck our brains out.”

A terrible thought explodes in my head. “I didn’t bring a condom.”

“Don’t worry. I’ve got one.” Pulling his wallet from his back pocket, Carter removes a foil packet from one of the compartments and drops it on my stomach.

I arch an eyebrow. “Prepared.”

“Always. But I have to chuck them out before I use them normally. You better check the use-by date on that one.”

I eye him.

“I don’t fuck around and I haven’t had a steady bedmate in a while.” He pops the button on his jeans and lowers the zipper. With a shake of his head and a scowl, he says, “Just check the damn date.”

Picking up the packet, I turn it over to find the date stamp. I wasn’t even aware condoms had use-by dates. Good thing I’ve been going through them quickly. The thought stops me mid-tear. In the last few years I’ve purchased too many boxes to acknowledge, and while my tally of men isn’t huge, it certainly isn’t small.

Carter grips my chin, tilts my head until my gaze meets his. “Don’t. We do what we have to.”

“I…”

His thumb presses against my lips. “You don’t need to explain yourself.”
