Fallon arched off the bed, screaming, and I tensed, ready to stop any bleeding or anything else horrible that had happened to him. I raced to the end of the bed, forcing Bay to get out of the way, but what I saw wasn’t the deep redness of blood or gruesome skin hanging from his body. No, his cock trembled like it was alive and spurts of cum shot from his slit, painting the screen, his legs, and the bed with jizz.

“Oh fuck, fuck!Rowen! Vail! Oh fucking God.” Fallon shuddered through a powerful orgasm, and all I could do was watch, shocked, and to be quite frank, horny, too.

“And there he blows!” Bay chuckled.

“Oh God.” Fallon groaned and dropped his face into his hands. “Kill me now.”

FALLON

By the timewe got out of the hospital I was starving to death—on top of battling an evil fucking embarrassment that just wouldn’t go away—so Rowen let me whine and convince him to stop and get hot dogs and fries drenched in cheese sauce, bacon, and ketchup from Nathan’s. It was trash comfort food, but I figured I deserved it after all I’d been through.

I still felt like shit after talking to Cillian on the phone. While Aspen had been calming and sweet, Cillian had made fun of me, laughing like a fucker. It had made the entire situation worse, and I couldn’t stop the flush of embarrassment that burned my face every time I thought about his bullshit.

When we got home, the three of us flopped in a snuggle pile on the couch, where we watched old Adam Sandler movies that had me and Vail howling while Rowen grumbled about American TV and occasionally chuckled. Since he didn’t outright complain, and he held me on one side while Vail was cuddled up on my other, I didn’t care. I got to have everything I wanted today, and I was really enjoying having two of my favorite guys give me the royal treatment. Vail kept pressing quick kisses along my neck, almost like he did it every time he remembered something bad had happened earlier, which kept it on my mind, too. Rowen occasionally caught my eye before grinning. The lingering horror from this morning eventually faded away—mostly.

Around three o’clock an annoying ringing erupted in Rowen’s pocket, and Vail paused our movie while Rowen tugged the phone out to glare at it.

“Yes, sir, Rowen speaking,” he said quietly while jamming his phone to his ear, but he shook his head as he listened. “Sir, would ye ask Tadgh or one of Jamie’s other boys to do it? It’s not a big job, and I’ve had a bit of a situation here today. As ye heard, Fallon was in the hospital. No, not serious. No, nothing to do with the diabetes. No, ye can ask him yerself. If he wants to tell ye, he can.” I gaped, but Rowen didn’t budge, even when I could clearly hear an inquisitive deep rumble on the other end. “Aye. I’d just as soon stay here for the rest of the day.” He paused. “Aye, of course I’ll come out for any emergencies. Thank ye.”

Rowen ended the call, and my heart almost stopped as I stared at him. “Did you just tell Sloan you wouldn’t do something for him?” I smacked his thigh hard. “What the fuck?”

Rowen frowned and puffed out a breath. “The boss wants a messenger to run a note to Elio Folliero. It’s important, but not the end of the world. I’m not the only man who can do it. He simply wants someone who won’t piss the other side off, if ye get me. The younger boys are friendly enough and don’t have the old animosity toward the Italians, unlike the men who should’ve taken retirement by now.” He shrugged and his eyes glittered with something close to anger. “The boss already knew ye couldn’t go stay with Conall today, so he wasn’t surprised.”

My stomach did a weird somersault that made it feel like a crumpled piece of aluminum foil jangling around my insides. “And Sloan was fine with that? You keep telling me to treat him like the boss and not a friend.”

Rowen shrugged. “As I said, he didn’t sound miffed. This is yer health, and I want to make sure ye’re good.”

My breath was shaky, but Vail leaned his head on my shoulder, not seeming the slightest bit disturbed. I ran my fingers through his soft, dark blond hair.

“You all act as if Sloan will bite your head off, but I’ve always found him to be almost sweet. Stern, yes, but not the bear everyone makes him out to be.” Vail blinked at both of us like he thought we were drunk.

Rowen laughed, and I couldn’t help it, I did the same thing.

Vail pouted. “What?”

“Ye tell Sloan ye think he’s sweet,” Rowen said, winking. “See what happens, angel.”

Vail crossed his arms and gave Rowen the stink eye, which only had us both chuckling again. He pulled his phone out and waved it at Rowen, then texted someone.

“What did ye do, love?” Rowen asked, sounding slightly scared. His phone rang again, and he pulled it out of his pocket. When he checked the screen, he gasped and his eyes grew huge.

“Hello, sir,” he said faintly. “Aye, he’s here.” Rowen handed his phone to Vail, who took it. There was a lot of talking from Sloan’s end, and I thought I could hear hysterical laughter in the background.

“Yes, I did text that.” He frowned and listened for a moment before cocking his head. “What’s wrong with Conall? Why is he laughing so much?” After a moment, Vail grinned. “Thank you. Yes, we can come for brunch tomorrow. That would be fun, don’t you think? Do you want to go to brunch with Conall tomorrow?” Vail turned toward us, and I was already nodding. Rowen put his hand over his eyes and jerked his head up and down once. “Yes, we’ll be there. Thank you again for the invitation. Have a good afternoon. Tell Conall I said to have fun!” With that, Vail ended the call.

Rowen looked a little stunned when he took his phone back.

“Uh, you’re going to kill Rowen if you text Sloan again,” I said, struggling to catch my breath.

Vail shrugged. “I text him sometimes. It’s not a big deal.”

“When did ye get that phone number?” Rowen whispered.

“Oh, I’ve had it for a while now.” Vail blinked at Rowen, who groaned and rested his head back against the couch. “What? What’s wrong?”

“It’s time to start dinner, that’s all,” Rowen said, completely avoiding the question as he got off the couch. Rowen took my hand and pulled me up, then did the same for Vail. “Angel, the phone number. I want to know.” He started toward the kitchen, and we followed him.
