A warm buzz started in my blood like the flutter of a thousand butterfly wings under my skin as I remembered Vail had asked if he could have all of us tonight, so I almost skipped as I rushed to the shower in my room. I was quick but made sure to clean out all my interesting spots, and the warm water was nice on my bruises and aching muscles. The damp air made my breath catch, but I figured that was probably because my lungs were still healing, and I hoped it wasn’t a new lifelong gift from this bullshit with Ilya. I hated to think it, but I wasn’t sorry he was dead.
Sighing, I turned off the water and got out of the shower. The towel I grabbed was thick and fluffy, which I’d missed at the hospital, and I dried off fast. Deciding to leave off the insulin pump, I checked the time so I wouldn’t do anything stupid with my insulin and feel like shit, then went into my bedroom and pulled on a pair of red boxer briefs.
Sneaking halfway down the stairs, I avoided the mud from Cillian’s boots and sat, watching Vail still talking. I crossed my arms over my knees and rested my chin on them. Lor glanced up and his mouth fell open. I winked, and when Vail turned to see what Lor was staring at, I blew him a kiss.
He hummed and licked his lips.
“I was just going, Dr. Mifflin,” Lor said and ducked his head, not looking at me. I didn’t have to be close to know he was blushing. We’d made it happen once or twice by this point because Vail frequently forgot we had company and wasn’t shy about starting sexy shenanigans, and the way Lor hung his head and shuffled his feet made it clear I’d overwhelmed him only by sitting around half dressed. He was so shy it almost bordered on painful to watch. If I wasn’t so happy with Vail, I probably would’ve started flirting with him by now because socially painful or not, the little action was cute, too. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Uh-huh,” Vail said, but he was staring at me as he closed the door. I leaned back and rested my elbows on the steps.
“Like what you see, babe?” I could tell by the sounds coming from down the hall that at least Rowen was in the kitchen, and maybe Aspen was out there, too.
Vail blew out a long breath, and I curled my toes around the edge of the step my feet rested on as he undid his bow tie and pulled it out of his collar. He bit the fabric as he watched me. It wasn’t often Vail got aggressive, but occasionally it happened, and my heart beat faster as he came up the stairs toward me. There was just something in the way he moved that let me know he might like to get in my ass, rather than the other way around, and after the weird, long fucking day, I couldn’t imagine anything that would feel better. I’d had Aspen in my mouth this morning, and I would finish the day with Vail inside me.
Sex with Vail would be the chef’s kiss on my plans to unwind.
“Would you like to go to your room?” he asked, breath catching as he shot his gaze down my bruised chest. I preened as he bit the corner of his mouth while staring at my abs. Totally worth the two hundred crunches seven days a week. I’d have to get back into that routine as soon as I could if I wanted him to keep looking at me like an ice-cream sundae.
“You said this morning that you wanted everyone,” I murmured, reminding him. He cocked his head to the side and ran his tongue along the bottom of his full, rosy lips. My dick plumped and pulsed pleasantly, and he went to his knees between my legs and ran his hands along my thighs. I was more than happy to spread wider for him, and he pushed the fabric of my boxer briefs up, his fingertips tickling along the sensitive skin close to my groin, and heat sizzled in my stomach.
“I would like that. Do you know what I would like to see?” His eyes lit up and my breath caught. Whenever he was looking at me like this and havingideas, I never knew if I should be excited or worried, but my dick twitched and took the decision away from me. He untangled his hands from under the legs of my boxer briefs and ran his fingertips up my hips, as if he couldn’t help himself. Aspen walked along the hallway and tilted his head back, staring at us. He came to stand at the bottom of the steps with his arms crossed, but I knew what he was seeing—Vail’s perfect ass, and me, legs wide. I shivered at the way he barely blinked as he watched us.
“No, what would you like to see?”
“You, under me.” His chest heaved and his eyebrows rose.
I nodded because that was nothing new.
“You, the center of attention,” he murmured, squeezing my middle.
My heart flipped. “What do you mean?”
He cocked his head. “It’s amazing to have everyone making me feel good, Fallon. And you’ve been through a lot lately. I can’t think of anyone who deserves the chance to feel like....” He leaned forward and planted his mouth on mine, and I moaned into the kiss. His warm, supple lips were normally yielding and pliant, but he teased his tongue against mine, then sat back, excitement radiating from him. “Like the world would fall apart without me. That’s how you all make me feel when everyone’s paying attention to me.”
“I don’t think Cillian and Rowen want to put their dicks anywhere near me,” I said with a laugh, and I wasn’t sure why, but some unpleasant emotion twisted through my gut.
There was a cough from the bottom of the stairs, the type of thing people did when they were trying to attract attention while being polite, and I glanced down to see Rowen standing beside Aspen with his hands shoved in his pants pockets. I couldn’t read the expression on his face, but my dick swelled and my stomach tensed at the appraising look he was giving me. I’d always known he was handsome because I did have fully functioning eyeballs, but it was different with his intent stare heating me up.
“Angel, would ye really like that?” Rowen asked, and he started up the steps, each footfall somehow loud enough it almost made me flinch. Maybe I was just keyed up because I felt like I should raise my fists in front of me as he approached. The stairs were an awkward place for this, but Rowen settled at my side and watched Vail, who gave him big, pleading eyes.
“Yes, I would love that. I want Fallon to feel as good as I do. I’d like that for all of you, but I know Cillian is kind of prickly.”
Rowen snorted.
“And you’re shy with Aspen.” He nodded at Rowen.
“Hey, now, I’m—”
“And Aspen is as bad as Cillian sometimes, so I don’t know that he would ever want to be in the middle.”
Aspen shrugged where he stood farther away from us, but I could tell he might not be as difficult to persuade as Vail thought.
Vail’s brown eyes sparkled and he grinned. “But you... you’re kind of like me. You like enough different things that it wouldn’t be difficult for all of us to... you know.” He bit his bottom lip.
“You mean I like getting stuffed and fucking, so we could figure out a spot for everyone?” I asked, all at once feeling more nervous than I’d ever been stepping foot in a ring. “I don’t know....”
Vail’s shoulders sank. He’d never push because that wasn’t his style, but Rowen made a sad sound that went along with the deflation of Vail’s excitement as he turned to study my face. I was stunned when he leaned forward and brushed his thumb to my lips. Aspen started up the steps, and I wouldn’t exactly say he was glaring, but he was definitely tracking Rowen’s movements.
