Brooks
“Tell me what you need.”Darcy’s soft lull of a voice had me smiling. He was cuddled up against my side in bed, his legs wrapped up in mine and his head lying on my chest. I liked the domestic feel of this position. He hadn’t rushed back to the Courtesan, and I was grateful for it. I didn’t want to scare him away, but I wouldn’t forgive myself for how tightly I’d tied his wrists, either. I hadn’tthoughtabout what would happen if I had a seizure. After the Jet Ski ride I’d been floating on clouds, forgetting who I was for a moment. Darcy did that to me a lot. He made me feel freer than I ever had.
“What do you mean?” I carded my fingers through his hair and sighed, imagining how blond and messy it probably looked right now—perfect, like him.
“I need to take care of you, too, Brooks. You can help me relax but let me be your partner. To do that, I should know what you need to handle your epilepsy.” He tickled his fingers over my chest, flicking at my nipple and making me hiss.
“If I promise to let you help me, will you get another manager in at the Courtesan and relax more?” I grinned at him when he huffed.
“I hate ultimatums.” He poked me in the ribs, and I laughed.
“It’s not an ultimatum.” Hooking my finger under his chin, I raised his head toward me and laid a gentle kiss on his lips. He leaned up closer, nails scraping at my skin between my pecs as he nudged his hard-on against my thigh. “Well?”
He sighed. “Fine, I’ll look into getting another manager, but don’t expect it to happen in the next month. Summer is a very busy season—”
“Darcy.” I slapped his ass where I had my arm curled around the back of him, and he grumbled something under his breath I couldn’t hear.
“Fine. I will look into it.”
“Thank you.” I smiled in satisfaction and lay back down on my pillow. “So, what do you want to know?”
“What you need.” He slid on top of me and nudged at my knees. I opened my legs so he could lie between them, and his cock rubbed against mine. Heat stirred in my gut, a swirling mess of excitement and need. My already hard junk jerked at the weight of his body against mine, and I grabbed his asscheeks, squeezing. “To be healthy.”
“You want a list?” I teased, and laughed hard when he poked me again, this time on the cheek. “Fine. The usual stuff. Get plenty of sleep, eat healthy, drink lots of water, and take my meds. Oh, and don’t get stressed about shit. Stress usually makes my seizures more erratic. Probably why I’ve had two in a month. It’s why I needed a vacation.”
Darcy flinched, and after the small shudder had passed, he was tense against me. “And I ruined that for you. I’m sorry.”
Snorting, I kissed him again. The taste of his lips was an addiction and I couldn’t get enough. “It’s fine. I was an asshole. I shouldn’t have approached Eric. I’m pretty sure I won’t be allowed back at Astamaya again.”
“Whatdidyou do to him?” Darcy’s breath tickled my lips as he huffed out a laugh, a beautiful sound to my ears. “You never told me the whole story.”
“Let’s just say he won’t be massaging for a while.” I cringed because I hadn’t meant to go that far, but after I’d punched him, he’d gotten to his feet and pushed me. I’d reacted on impulse, my bodyguard training falling into place like any instinct should. With the way I’d broken his fingers and hand, he wouldn’t be using it for a while. I suspected the only reason the resort hadn’t called the cops was because they really did offer happy endings they didn’t want law enforcement knowing about.
Darcy snorted but didn’t push the issue. He ground his cock against mine, our lengths rubbing against each other. “So, I have to make sure you’re taking your medication, you’re sleeping and eating correctly, and that you are not stressed.”
I smiled, even if a part of me warred with the idea of someone taking care ofme. If I wanted this to work, it had to be a give-and-take relationship. “Yes.”
“I can do that.” He flicked my nipple again and it pebbled under his attention. Between his hard cock against mine and the weight of his body, my insides were raging with desire and need. I wanted to turn him over and fuck him into the mattress, but talking came first.
“And in return you’ll get another manager in to help with the Courtesan. I’ll come with you to talk to your mother about it.” I kept my voice stern. “You’ll have two days a week off, and that includes every other weekend.”
“Wait a second—”
“I’m not finished.” I slapped his ass again, and his cheek wobbled under my hand. “You will only be doing eight-hour days on the ones you do work, and after you leave that hotel, the employees should not contact you unless it’s a dire emergency. They can learn to handle problems on their own.”
“Oh, really?” Intrigue laced his words as he let his chin fall on my chest. “But I live at the Courtesan.”
“Move in here.” I smoothed my hand over his hair and grinned. “How can you take care of me if you live there?”
He laughed and it echoed through the quiet room. I wondered if I could record him and add it as my ringtone, but then I wouldn’t need to if he moved in here because I’d be hearing it more often. “You are a cheater.”
“Am I?” I teased, and it earned me a hard kiss on the mouth.
“Fine, I’ll move in here, but just so you’re warned, I like my showers very hot, and sometimes I like to have essential oils on a burner after a long day at work. I’m partial to palo santo.”
“Deal. I can live with that, as long as I can join you in the shower.” I waggled my eyebrows, and his laughter grew deeper. Turning serious, I sighed. “There is one thing about living with me. Because I’m blind I need everything to be in the same place I left it. That’s how I get around places. I know where things are. If they move… then I get confused.”
