I grinned wickedly. “Not for a few weeks you don’t.”
“You lied to me.” He tugged on his hand harder, but I didn’t let go. I tightened my grip.
“No, I didn’t. You asked where we were going, I said to a spa. You didn’t askwherethat spa was located.” I smirked.
“You’re kidnapping me,” he hissed out, shoving at my chest. I was bigger than Darcy, and stronger, too, and he didn’t have a chance at pushing me away. He was mine.
“Your mother knew I was taking you away, so no, I’m not. She said the Courtesan will be handled.”
He let out a strangled laugh. “Mother doesn’tknowwhat goes into running the hotel. Even in the beginning she was always more a big-picture person. She never sees the work I do.” He sighed, and I felt him slump against his seat. “I need to go back.”
“What you need, Darcy, is for me to help you look after yourself. That starts with a break.” I kissed his cheek and jaw, whispering into his ear, “By the time I’m done with you, you’ll be fucked senseless as well as being rested.”
His shiver was the exact answer I wanted.
