“We don’t mind,” Jake said.
Declan glanced down at me, and I got the feeling he was looking right through me when his too-knowing blue eyes met mine. I ducked my head and stared at our shoes. He jostled me. “Logan, I want this to sink in. Are you listening?”
I nodded and braced myself. Finally, here it was. I’d made one of them mad… or at least irritated. Declan didn’t seem like the type to do true anger.
“If money was an issue, we’d just talk about it. You don’t have to worry about bad surprises from us.”
I rested my cheek against Declan’s shoulder again and huddled closer when he pressed a kiss to the top of my head. I glanced up and caught Jake smiling at me.
“What he said,” Jake murmured.
We slowed down, and when I frowned and tried to figure out why, it hit me that we were back at the rental car—a perfectly average gray sedan that I would have walked past left on my own. Jake drew me closer to him and planted a searching kiss on my mouth that had me feeling soft and mellow, and Declan ran his hand down my back. Jake laughed against my lips, and then Declan pinched my ass, so I thought maybe he’d gotten Jake first.
“We’re in public!” Jake’s voice was a touch too loud and set me off laughing under my breath.
“Okay, my saucy sweethearts, in. In.”
Declan opened the door to the back seat, and Jake dragged me into the car. Declan chuckled as he closed the door on us. My head spun a little as Jake kissed me and his hand drifted along the inside of my right thigh. I sighed into his mouth and opened for him—my lips and my legs—as he flicked his tongue lightly along the seam of my mouth and drew his finger along the zipper of my jeans. The measured way he flicked his tongue against mine, like a heartbeat, had my breath quickening and put my cock on serious notice.
The driver’s-side door opened, and Declan’s amused snort had us drifting apart. “Seat belts. Come on.” Jake slid over with a monster pout and buckled, and I did mine up, but we still held hands and leaned together as Declan adjusted everything in the car so he could drive us back to the hotel. Jake tossed the keys up into his lap and leaned on me, trying to look innocent when Declan mock glared into the rearview mirror. It didn’t take him long to start the engine and pull out into the stream of traffic. The low hum of the radio had me closing my eyes and resting closer to Jake’s body heat.
“Is it really okay that I was here tonight?” I asked into the darkness behind my eyelids.
“More than,” Declan said from up front.
Jake hummed and hugged me. “See? I told you. We both want you here.” He slid his hand up under the front of my shirt and tickled along my side lightly. I snorted out a laugh and slapped my hand over his to trap it there. “Okay, I just… I’m not used to anyone being excited to show me off.” I blinked my eyes open and found myself staring into Jake’s serious brown ones. I loved how he was so different from Declan in almost every way… except that he was warm and loving and intense. I pecked a kiss on his lips, and he grinned.
“Get used to it.” Jake sounded almost angry, but when I leaned back there was something hot and dangerous gleaming in his eyes—but I wasn’t afraid. No, I wanted to put myself at his mercy. That expression was fast becoming familiar, and if I had money to bet, I would have put it on his dick being ready to pound my ass.
“Mm. Yeah, warm each other up back there,” Declan said, the amusement in his tone giving way to a gruffness that made me think of how he sounded when he was inside me.
The way Jake was looking at me had me feeling more confident, and I cleared my throat. “Have you been thinking about me fucking our husband?”
Jake let out a happy sigh, and Declan glanced into the rearview mirror. For a second I was worried I’d said the wrong thing, even though Declan had said it first last night while we were putting on a show for him, but then Jake lunged and sealed his lips to mine. I wasn’t ready; he forced his tongue deep into my mouth, and my only real choice was to accept the aggressive takeover. I wanted it, though, so I opened wider and cursed our seat belts. The car slowed, but my eyes drifted closed and I couldn’t tell what was going on beyond the bubble of lust Jake had created around us.
When we came up for air, Declan was turned around on his knees in the driver’s seat watching us. He darted forward and snagged Jake’s lips in a short but thorough kiss, and then he turned and sealed his lips to mine. If I’d thought Jake was aggressive, it had nothing on the way Declan slipped a hand behind my head and held me still so he could map out my mouth. His tongue was sweet with the dessert I’d tasted but couldn’t finish, and I whimpered at how good it was, forced against my taste buds.
“Say that again,” he growled against my lips, and I shivered and shook my head.
“You made him shy, babe,” Jake said and squeezed my hip. “But he says all sorts of things when he’s coming. Maybe you should ask then.” He nipped at Declan’s chin.
Flushing hot, I couldn’t do a damned thing about it as my dick throbbed—firm and needy—and pushed at the front of my jeans. The rush of warmth that skittered through my stomach had me rocking my hips, and Jake slipped his hand between my thighs to cup my plump bulge with an approving little squeeze. I buried my face against Declan’s neck and sucked a kiss there.
He sat back so fast I worried I’d done something wrong, but he was smiling as he shoved open his door and hopped out. Cool air rushed in and smacked at my senses, waking me up a bit. Every brain cell I owned had taken a mini vacation. I fumbled with the button on my seat belt, and Jake chased my fingers away and undid it himself as Declan yanked the back door closest to Jake open. He slid out and I followed, getting a kiss for the trouble of having to stand on my own feet in the freezing air after all that. But soon enough Jake had an arm around me, and Declan somehow managed to wrap his arm around both of us again as he got us in a side hug he used to guide us to the front door of the hotel.
Inside we passed two men squaring off in a small lounge with bad plaid furniture on the way to the elevator, and Declan waved at them. They weren’t shouting but looked like they wanted to be as they each punctuated whatever they were saying with sharp motions of their hands. I’d never seen two people, other than Jake and Declan, so intent on each other.
“Hey, Merc,” Declan said. “Lennox. Fighting again? You should kiss and make up.”
Jake snorted and covered his mouth with the back of his hand, but that didn’t stop him from shaking with his barely contained amusement.
The taller of the two men, who had a decidedly Mediterranean complexion and warm brown eyes, pursed his pink Cupid’s-bow lips in our direction. “Aren’t you a smug pimp, Greenwood? Didn’t know you had it in you. You pay for that one?” He nodded at me.
My face heated, but Declan only laughed.
Jake hummed and tensed at my side. “You better be nice to our third, Logan. He talked to your mother at the game tonight, and he will in the future. I’ll have him tell her you’re accusing him of turning tricks.”
He straightened and jabbed a swift finger toward us. “I said nothing. Don’t you dare tell my ma I said anything mean. Goddamn it, Jake!”
