“So, whatdoyou think?” Jake asked after he’d buried himself in the fortress of heavy blankets he liked to have.
I slid in beside his warm body and tugged him against me. “About Logan?”
“Yeah.” He laid his cheek against my chest and wrapped his arms around my stomach, sighing peacefully as we settled down for the night. It was good when we got nights like this, but in a few days I’d be away again, out of town for another game. We enjoyed the time together when it came around.
“Does it matter?”
“Not really….” The way he petered off had me curious.
“Are you attracted to him?” I asked. The thing I loved about my relationship with Jake was our openness. We were allowed to be married to each other and still be attracted to other people, and checking out other guys was our thing. We were perfectly content with each other, but that didn’t mean we weren’t fully functioning males who liked the sight of a good-looking dude.
He poked me in the side, and I laughed. “He’s hot, admit it.”
“Oh, for sure,” I agreed. “Did you expect YourBoiFriend to look like that?”
“No way.” He let out a long sigh and pressed his mouth to my chest, right between my pecs. “But he’s the best anniversary present. The sex was on fire. Thank you, baby.”
“You’re welcome. Happy early anniversary.” I hooked my finger under his chin and raised his head so I could lean down and kiss him. His mouth was addicting; he was so pliant beneath me, letting me dominate any situation we were in, and I loved that about him. He was so eager to please me, and that’s why he deserved to get whatever he wanted.
“You’re hot, too,” he murmured against my lips. “So fucking hot. I could eat you alive.”
I grinned at him. “Maybe tomorrow, I’ll let you eat my ass.”
“Mm. I’d like that a lot.” He humped himself against me, his hopeful cock nudging my thigh, and I chuckled again.
“You’re insatiable.”
“Around you? Always.” Laying his cheek against my chest again, he sighed. “I love you, Dec.”
“I love you, too, handsome. Good night.”
The next morning we were already in the kitchen making breakfast when Logan stumbled down the stairs and into the dining room. I waved at him through the doorway. He yawned, slapping a hand over his mouth halfway through. His hair was wet, but we’d already heard the shower earlier. Jake’s jeans and black Henley were a little big and made Logan look younger than he had last night.
I’d just finished pouring a breakfast smoothie into a drink bottle when he came in while Jake was poaching some eggs. As soon as Jake saw him, he gave Logan a small “good morning” that I echoed.
Logan smiled shyly. “You even say the same thing at the same time.”
We both laughed, and Jake knocked me with his hip. “I’ve spent too much time around this guy.”
“Speak for yourself.” I turned and leaned against the kitchen counter as I flicked open the lid of my bottle and took a long swallow of my smoothie, the strawberry flavor overwhelming all the other fruit I’d mixed in.
“Don’t worry, you won’t be drinking one of those.” I saw Jake nod at me from the corner of my eye and show Logan the eggs he was cooking. “These are much better.”
I rolled my eyes and laughed. “It’s a protein shake. Need to get protein in somehow. Eggs aren’t enough. Coach will be pushing us hard today.”
“You have practice?” Logan took a seat at the table and fiddled with his fingers as he stared at us, as though he wasn’t quite sure what he was supposed to be doing right now. He looked good in Jake’s clothes, but thinking about that reminded me that I needed to go pay his motel bill and get his belongings to bring them back here.
“Yeah. Around nine. We have an away game this week, so I’ll be heading out Monday.”
Jake rested the pan back on the stovetop and frowned at me. I gave him a quick kiss on that pouty mouth. “I hate it when you go.”
“I know.” Dragging him against my body, I placed my smoothie back on the counter and grabbed his ass, giving his cheeks a good massage. I slammed my mouth against his and kissed him hard. He groaned and curled his arms around my neck, thrusting his groin against mine. For a moment we forgot about our guest, entirely caught up with the touch of each other, before my mind fought through myneedfor Jake’s mouth against my own. I broke away from him and he pouted harder, but one nod from me toward Logan and Jake jolted back to reality.
“Sorry,” Jake said as he stepped away from me, laughing. “Sometimes we forget who’s in the room with us.”
Logan raised his hand and waved at us. “Don’t apologize. It’s fine.”
It wasn’t, though. Our friends were used to us falling into our fantasy world, but Logan was virtually a stranger, and I didn’t want to scare him off.
