“Oh no. No. No. I can’t. Can’t go out there like this.”

He only laughed, curled his fingers around the chain between my hands, and tugged me toward the door. “Relax, they already knew we were fucking in here.”

I tried to dig my heels in. Stormy only laughed and dragged me toward the door with more strength than I would have given him credit for. And I followed, my face burning and my cock embarrassingly ready to play again.

I paused halfwayacross the empty second-floor entertainment room and glanced at Ross. The last thing I wanted to do was humiliate him against his wishes, and while I’d loved the thought of taking him downstairs in cuffs for everyone to know he belonged to me now, I didn’t want to push him, either.

“You can say your safeword at any point. In case you don’t want to do this,” I reminded him gently.

He shook his head sharply, cheeks blooming a beautiful red I rarely saw on him. I decided I enjoyed his reactions, and heat thrummed through me as he tugged lightly on the metal of the handcuffs.

I smiled, unable to help myself. Excitement had my cock nearly fully hard again, and I pressed the heel of my palm against the sensitive head.Calm down, boy.

Grabbing the chain that linked the cuffs between his wrists, I tugged it to guide him across the floor. We descended the stairs, aware of the noise coming from the raging party on the first floor. These people—Harlots, Kings, and Courtesans alike—were about to see their former mayor cuffed and following me like a slave, and the thought of them seeing my ownership of him had my cock jerking.

As soon as I opened the door and we hit the blast of noise from the party, curious eyes turned to us as I walked Ross toward the Kings’ table. Bliss gasped and slapped his hand over his mouth from where he sat in Jester’s lap in the booth the Kings occupied.

We stopped in front of them, and I smiled as I turned to face Casper. “You wouldn’t happen to have the keys to these, would you?” I asked, pointing at the handcuffs.

Everyone’s gazes went to the metal around Ross’s wrists, and I didn’t miss the way King smirked as his gaze took a quick dip down Ross’s body. King wrapped his arm around his boyfriend and dragged him closer. Casper’s dark eyebrows did a dance as they rose on his forehead, and he returned his attention to me.

“I don’t remember telling you that you could use our toys while up there,” he said casually with a half smile that curled at one corner of his lips.

I shrugged unapologetically. “I improvised.”

“What else did you improvise with?” he demanded. The whole crew in the booth appeared interested now.

I grinned and sent him a wink. “Wouldn’t you like to know? That’s between me and my….” Sending Ross a quick look, I realized that while I was his Mister at the moment, I didn’t have a pet name for him. I’d heard Courtesans useboybefore, but Ross was definitely not a boy. He’d proved that more than once when he’d fucked me. “My Pookie.”

“Pookie?” Ross coughed into his hand, and it sounded suspiciously like he was laughing. I poked him in the side. I didn’t want him ruining my moment.

“Your Pookie?” Casper said carefully, pressing his lips together. Apparently Ross wasn’t the only one amused. “Okay.”

“Sit down,” King demanded, and it took me a moment to realize he was talking to us. I wanted to ask why, but King wasn’t the kind of person to argue with. The bikers moved around the booth some more so there was enough room on the edge for Ross and me to slide in on the left. I took the seat closest to one of the boys I didn’t know, while Ross took the outside. King froze Ross in place with a nasty glare. “You and I need to have a discussion, Mr. Ex-Mayor.”

“About what?” Ross stiffened farther, and I reached over to slip my hand into his, which he had in his lap. The chain between the cuffs rattled as he interlocked his fingers with mine.

“About the money we gave you.” King leaned forward and grabbed the can of Coke in front of him. The gray at his temple sparkled for a short moment as lights from the dance floor flashed on him before they disappeared again with never-ending movement.

“You gave me money to permit the second floor of this place.” He glanced around the room and then back to King. Raising his chin, his voice held a strength that reminded me of the mayor he had been. “And I did that. If this is your attempt at blackmailing me, don’t. I might not be mayor anymore, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to put up with any shit.”

I inwardly applauded Ross and squeezed his hand to let him know how proud I was of him. He sent me a small smile but then reverted his attention back to King, who smirked in his direction.

“Yes, but you know the new mayor, don’t you? He’s a friend of yours.”

Ross immediately shook his head. “I risked a lot by taking bribes, and Vane won’t do the same. He doesn’t need your money. After the stunt I pulled, I doubt he’ll want to even talk to me.”

King sighed and took another sip of his drink. His face twisted in irritation, and I didn’t miss how his eyes swept to the side to stare at the cold beer in Casper’s hand. Rumors said the Kings’ president was trying to cut down on the booze, which made him even more dangerous than usual. “So, you’re no help to us at all?”

“Not in the way you want.” Ross leaned into me but kept his chin high. “I’m not a criminal, Mr. Arthur.”

King laughed and his face relaxed. “You were a politician, Midberry. You’re worse than a criminal.”

I should have let the comment go because I’d be a Courtesan again soon, and King’s club brought in a lot of money, but I couldn’t let anyone insult Ross. He was the best client I’d had, and right now, in a strange way, he was under my protection. He was my sub. “I think he’s had enough people judging him for one lifetime, King. How about you give us the keys like I asked, so me and my Pookie can leave, hm?”
