One: wait for Eric, Colton and Ramsay to save me.

Two, which was so close to impossible it may as well have been: make an escape on my own.

And as the threats piled up around me, the second option was looking more and more compelling.

Chapter 3

That night I dreamt of my mates.

And I wished I hadn’t.

In the surreal-like quality of the dream, three large wolves burst through the hall, running faster than any gryphon could hope to keep up with, and found me curled up in bed. All the gryphons vanished as my mates shifted into human form, and suddenly there were only four of us in the entire world.

Ramsay’s smile made me laugh, and Colton gently nuzzled my cheek. Eric wrapped his arm around me so tightly it felt like he would never let go, and I wouldn’t have wanted him to. We fell into the grand bed in a tangle of limbs, all three of them putting their hands on me, lovingly feeling me up.

I melted into a pool of bliss. They touched my face, stroking my cheeks; running my hands along my chest and teasing my nipples; caressing the sensitive skin of my thighs, and gently palming my cock…

I woke to the sound of the heavy door clicking. My cheeks were flushed and my forehead sweaty from my fantasy. Worse was the wet, sticky feeling in my underwear.

“Shit,” I muttered.

I scurried to the bath section, hoping I could wash myself off before whoever was outside came in. When I was halfway undressed, the door opened.

“W-wait,” I called, hoping they would listen. “I’m naked.”

“Oh!” An unfamiliar voice came from outside. “I apologize.”

I thanked the gods that the gryphons had some decency, at least. I scrubbed off the stain from my wet dream and got dressed again.

“Okay,” I said.

I was on edge, not knowing who was trying to come in. Since Blaze told me I would carry my baby to term, I had no idea what the gryphons planned for me for the next eight months.

Two gryphons came in. One was Torin, the other I didn’t know. He was smaller and had a hawk’s face with big brown eyes.

“Hi there,” the brown-eyed one said. “I’m Bastian. King Blaze sent me to be your personal assistant.”

“Assistant?” I asked. “For what?”

“To take care of your every need, basically,” Bastian said with a laugh. “You’re pregnant, so we need to give you the best care possible.”

“Oh,” I said, a bit surprised. “Well… Okay.”

“Are you comfortable?” Torin asked coldly.

Bastian seemed trustworthy, for a gryphon, but I wasn’t so sure about Torin--especially since he was the one to break into Eric’s home and steal me away. He was the reason I was here.

No,I thought bitterly. The reason I’m here is because Neil sold me out. He told the gryphons my secret. If it wasn’t for him, I would be at home with Ramsay, Colton and Eric.

“Yes,” I told Torin. “Why do you ask?”

He flicked his tail sharply. “Wouldn’t want you to try and escape.”

Bastian clicked his tongue. “Why would he do that? To be a bearer of children is the highest honor!” He sighed dreamily. “I wish I could do the same…”

Torin rolled his eyes. “Hmph. Just take care of the wolf.” He paused, narrowing his eyes at me. “And don’t try to escape. I wouldn’t want to hurt you by accident if I have to catch you again.”

I returned his glance stiffly, but didn’t reply. I wasn’t going to make any promises I had no intention of keeping.
