“I remembered everything,” I whispered.
Tears formed in my eyes now, hot with shame that I’d ever forgotten about my mates, even for a second. Guilt washed over me. I hung my head, pressing my forehead to Noro’s chest like I was trying to disappear. I felt his hands on my back stroking in gentle circles.
“Eric. Colton. Ramsay.” A broken sob came out of me. “I remember it all.”
Noro lifted my chin to face him and smiled. “I’m glad to hear it. There’s no need to cry.”
“Noro, how could I forget?” I demanded, my voice choked. “After all we’ve been through, for me to just forget about them…”
His face hardened. “It wasn’t your fault.”
I shook my head viciously. “I don’t care. It was horrible of me. I’m pregnant with their child!”
Noro took my shoulders more firmly. “Matheson. Listen to me. Blaze is much more dangerous than I thought. He put a powerful spell on you, and I realized it too late. I wish I could’ve stopped it.”
“But why couldn’tIfight it off?” I cried. “I’m a mage, too. I’m supposed to be strong. The words he was saying… In the moment, they sounded so good. I hate that I fell for his lies.”
“The important thing now is that you remember. And that you don’t forget ever again.”
“I won’t,” I growled. I felt my wolf’s spirit rearing up inside me, furious with what had happened.
Noro’s eyes flashed with concern. “He didn’t do anything else to you before I got there, did he?”
“No, thankfully,” I said. It chilled me to the bone knowing Blaze could’ve done anything to me when I was under his spell and I wouldn’t have challenged it. Noro had arrived just in time. I threw my arms around him, deeply appreciative. “Thank you.”
He hugged me tight. “I won’t ever lose you like that again.”
“I’m sorry I scared you. I’m sorry about--”
“Shh.” He kissed me again, gentle and soft. “Enough apologies.”
I sighed. “Fine.”
“But, if you’re feeling up to it, there is another way you can repay me,” he suggested with a sly smile.
“Oh. Wait.” I touched his knee. “I just remembered something. Earlier when I tried to pleasure myself in the bath, I couldn’t do it.”
Noro’s brows raised. “How so?”
“I think… even though I was brainwashed by Blaze, there was still a part of me that remembered my promise to you." A hot blush spread across my face. “Er... about not cumming until you let me, I mean.”
Noro laughed softly. “I see.” He stroked my cheek. “You’ve been a good boy, even when under a powerful spell.”
I grumbled but leaned into his touch. “Yeah, I have. So can you finally take care of this aching boner I have?”
“Of course,” he murmured. He dragged his thumb across my lips, making me shiver. “After what you’ve been through, you deserve it.”
I grinned and leaned back against the bed, slowly spreading my legs to teasingly invite his touch. “That’s exactly what I wanted to hear.”
Chapter 14
With the brainwashing spell being broken, a massive psychological weight was lifted off my shoulders. I was no longer irritated with Noro, and I didn’t have to fight that mental wall when I thought about my wolf mates anymore. And with that came an amazing sense of relief--the kind that paved the way for sexual indulgence.
I wrapped my arms around the back of Noro’s neck as he leaned over me, his powerful yet lithe body blocking out the moonlight. All I saw was him in his perfection.
Arousal made my skin highly responsive, and every touch of Noro’s fingers against me sent sparks throughout my body. I arched my back and moaned softly as he ran his hands down my chest, teasing my nipples. My cock--which was hypersensitive from two nights of teasing--sprung to life, hard and aching already. When he wasn’t kissing me, I had to bite my lip to keep from feelingtoomuch pleasure.
Now his hands touched my belly and he paused, smiling down at it admiringly. “You’re so beautiful.”
