“Go on, Matheson,” Eric urged.

There was no use putting it off any longer. It was time to tear down the last doubts in my mind.

I disappeared into the bathroom and completed the test. Sitting on the edge of the tub, I sighed, bouncing my knee rapidly to pass the time.

I bit my lip and glanced over at the test.

I wasn’t quite sure how to react. The whole thing had been rather anticlimactic.

But it did edge some doubts out of my mind.

I ran out, and instantly saw Eric and Ramsay smiling. They must have seen the happiness in my eyes, because it reflected in theirs.

“Told you,” Ramsay teased.

I slammed into both of them with a breathless, exhausted laugh, and they hugged me fiercely. I inhaled their scents like it was a drug--the combination of Ramsay’s airy musk and Eric’s sweat and strawberry shampoo.

“I’m pregnant,” I said. “And now I have proof besides my own feelings.”

Ramsay snorted, patting my head. “Yeah, except your feelings were right the whole time, weren’t they? It was everyone else that was wrong.”

The elation of knowing the truth made me feel buzzed.

I smiled. “I guess they were.”
