Colton’s face was pressed into the other pillow. His muffled reply was, “Sweaty...”

“You guys,” I said. “That was insane. In the best way.”

It took him a moment, but Ramsay hauled himself up so he was laying on the other pillow next to Colton and I.

“I feel dead. Do you guys feel like that, too?” Ramsay asked.

“Like I died and went to heaven,” Colton mumbled with a tiny smile.

“Who knew heaven was full of omega ass?”

I rolled my eyes and smacked Ramsay with the pillow. “Shut up.”

Eric grunted and spooned me from behind. “Don’t abuse my pillows like that. You’ll break them on Ramsay’s big head.”

“Dude, I don’t even care if you say I have a big head,” Ramsay replied. “I just came like fifty times.”

“I don’t think it was fifty,” Colton piped up. “Maybe like, twenty, combining all of us.”

Ramsay sighed and didn’t bother arguing. “Sure, Colt.”

I chuckled.

“So,” Eric said, resting his chin on my shoulder. “Was that everything you expected and more?”

“More,” I replied with a blush. “Much, much more.”

Despite the exhaustion in his face, Eric smiled. “Good.”

“Did you figure it out?” Colton asked me. “The verse?”

At his reminder, I felt it again--that spark of magic deep within me. It was like tiny, pleasant electric jolts, almost similar to the ones I felt when my mates’ and I were making love. But this was a tangible, archaic power. Something I knew I could draw in the physical realm.

My hands lowered to my torso and I rested my palms against my bare skin.

It was really there. That fascinating power.

The prophecy was true. I hadn’t been wrong about my hunch.

I was exhausted, but also deeply excited. I was rightafter all.

And itworked.

I almost went breathless from excitement. For the first time, I realized that we could change everything. This wouldn’t just affect the four of us, but every single person in the four packs--and even beyond them.

My heart skipped a beat. The verse’s words echoed in my mind.

Seeds grown as one are the key, to set the shifters free.

“Hey, what’re you grinning about?” Ramsay asked.

“Nothing,” I said, a wide smile spreading across my face. “Except I’m pretty sure that you all just became fathers.”

Ramsay blinked. “What?”

Colton mirrored his look of bewilderment.

Behind me, Eric went stiff. “Matheson, you can’t know that for certain. Not yet.”
