“Oh, Sky, you’re so dramatic,” Kaden said.
“Can I help myself? Look how cute they are together!”
To play it up for the crowd, I rubbed my cheek against Felix’s. He yelped and turned warm, making everyone cheer and laugh.
“So how many months along are you, Felix?” Kaden asked.
“Only a few,” he replied. Lowering his voice, he added, “We, erm, had sex without protection since we thought I was infertile.”
“Judging by when we met and your symptoms, I’d say about three months,” I said.
“How is it so far?” Skylar asked, almost hesitantly. “When Jake was pregnant, he’d get cranky and want to eat weird food sometimes.”
“I haven’t been too cranky yet, I hope.” Felix chuckled. “Mostly I have food aversions and . . . hormone stuff.”
“Hormone stuff?” Skylar teased. “Like wanting to get frisky all the time?”
Kaden groaned. “Skylar.”
“What? It’s natural for a pregnant omega!”
Felix buried his hot and flushed face in my shoulder and mumbled, “Yes.”
I laughed. He obviously wasn’t going to mention it, but I knew he was thinking back on all the smoking hot sex we shared, especially the kinky kind.
To save my mate from Skylar’s well-intentioned questioning, I pulled Felix closer and said, “Maybe you should tease Felix outside the workplace.”
“You’re right, my bad,” Skylar said. “I guess I’ve just been thinking about that sort of thing since Jake found his mate, and now you’ve found yours . . .”
I noted a wistful hint in his voice. “You want to find your mate, Skylar?”
Judging by his stuttering reaction, his face must have flushed too. “N-no, it’s not like that. I’m just curious is all.”
I wasn’t convinced, but I didn’t want to pry. It was his business, after all.
As if oblivious to the conversation around him, Sammy asked, “Have you thought of a name? Ooh, do you know if it’s a boy or girl yet?”
“No, it’s too early for that,” Felix said. “To determine the sex, I mean. For names . . .”
My brows raised. “Oh? Have you been thinking about it on your own, my little omega?”
“Maybe a bit,” Felix teased. “But I’m not telling you in front of all these people.”
Groans of disappointment rang out.
“Mean,” Sammy muttered.
“Hey, a man has to havesomesecrets, right?”
With a stir of arousal in the pit of my stomach, I knew that the name wasn’t the only secret he meant.

“So I was thinking,”I began, “that we should convert this spare room into a nursery, since it’s right down the hall from our bedroom.”
I pushed the door open with a creak. River’s tags jingled as he roamed inside. The room used to be a kind of Man Lounge, with a huge couch, flat screen TV, and old video games sitting around in storage boxes. After losing my vision, I used it as a home gym with some low-level weights. Felix helped me tidy up after he moved in so there were less tripping hazards.
“What do you think?” I asked.
