He chuckled. “As you wish.”
I was so satisfied, I could have fallen asleep right then and there.
But then it happened.
The air was sucked out of my lungs as a sharp, sudden pain punched me in the gut.
“Caleb?” Adriel cried. “What’s wrong?”
“Oh,” I said in a shaky voice. “I think… she’s coming.”
Adriel’s eyes went wide. “The baby?”
I nodded slowly. “And I don’t think she’s gonna wait much longer.”
