“I can add both of you in somehow,” Theo said. He grinned and raised his paintbrush.
“Don’t bother,” Margaret muttered. “It’s obvious you don’t care for your ailing mother.”
Theo’s mouth fell open in shock. He looked utterly heartbroken.
Geez, why is she in such a bad mood?I wondered. The selfish part of me was glad she wasn’t mad at me anymore, but I didn’t want to see her treat Theo rudely, either.
“You know that isn’t true, mother,” Adriel said. “We care deeply about you.”
Margaret growled and raised her hand, waving him away. Although Adriel wasn’t as overtly emotional as Theo, I could still see the tight line of his lip and the slight furrow of his brow - he was just as upset as his youngest brother about the way Margaret was treating him.
I just wished she could see how much they all cared.
Margaret shuffled out of the room with an aura that clearly indicated she wanted nobody’s help. We all held back in the room uncomfortably.
“Well, just because she’s not in a good mood doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t be,” Pierce said with a shrug. “In any case, Benji, Ididhave a couple ideas for the baby’s name.” He quirked a playful brow. “And they’re not Bernard or Doris.”
I grinned. “Well, then, I’ll be glad to hear them.”
“For a boy, Jory,” Pierce said. “And for a girl, Lark.”
“Oh, I love both of those!” I replied. “They’re so interesting.”
“It’s not like Pierce has anything better to do than sit around and think of baby names,” Theo teased. Pierce rolled his eyes playfully and didn’t argue - I think he was glad to see his brother in better spirits, after the whole Margaret debacle.
“I kind of want to keep the baby’s sex a surprise,” I told him. “Is that okay?”
“Of course.” Pierce smiled. “Surprises are rare for me after all I’ve experienced in this life. I’ll be glad to have one.”
“Then it’s settled.” I leaned up on my toes to kiss Pierce. He instantly kissed me back. Adriel groaned in the background.
“Not in the nursery, for god’s sake,” he muttered, averting his eyes.
“Oh, lighten up,” Theo said. “They’re just kissing! It’s rated PG-13 at most.”
“It seems my brothers don’t appreciate our public display of affection.” Pierce smirked. “Maybe we should take this somewhere not-so public…”
I smirked, feeling the hormones flare up inside me. “Agreed. Let’s get out of here.”

Benji lay beneath me, panting and breathless. Heat flushed in his cheeks, turning his face a beautiful shade of pink. I couldn’t help but stare in awe at his belly, now swollen a few months into his pregnancy. Thankfully, the bouts of morning sickness had passed, but now he was dealing with a certain new… issue.
“Please,” Benji whimpered.
I raised a brow and chuckled. “I’m already inside you.”
He wailed. “I know, but I needmore.”
The deeper he got into his pregnancy, the more his hormones flared up. We were currently battling a week-long period in which Benji was more…excitablethan normal. It wasn’t a heat - an omega could only go through a heat if they weren’t pregnant, after all - but with the way Benji was begging me for sex, it was a close enough comparison.
Benji’s phone rang. He groaned and knocked it off the bedside table.
“I take it you’re not answering calls?” I asked with a smirk.
“No! Now shut up and - “
