“Yes,” he mumbled.
It took us a moment to catch our breath, and by the time we did we were half asleep, dozing in a warm jumble. All I could smell and see and hear and taste and feel was Kass, and it was perfect.
“I love you more than anything,” I mumbled into Kass’s chest. He smelled musky and pleasant, his own personal scent that I craved whenever he wasn’t around.
“No, I loveyoumore than anything,” he replied, running his fingers through my hair.
“Nuh uh. I do.”
“Impossible.”
“We could do this all night and I would still win,” I mumbled.
He laughed. “Then concede and end it.”
“Never.” I grinned smugly. “I’m always right, and you know it.”
Instead of disagreeing, Kass kissed my forehead. “You are. And this time, I won’t argue with you about it.”
