Stark

Wakingup next to Kyle was like a dream. He rose slowly from underneath the covers and stretched before gently brushing Kyle’s hair aside. He smiled down at his omega, and knowing he was carrying his child made him even happier.

Stark was reminded of the night when it all happened - the party, the alcohol, the amazing sex he couldn’t even remember. But this time blew that out of the water. This time hecouldremember everything, and so could Kyle. This wasright.

Stark had never felt so good.

A thought struck him suddenly and he hopped out of bed, grabbing his phone from the nightstand. In the rush of excitement, he had completely forgotten to tell his mother the news. He scurried out of the room so that he wouldn’t disturb Kyle.

He paced down the hall, as far away from Kyle’s sleeping form as he could manage, and waited impatiently as the dial tone rang.

The phone picked up and instantly his mother’s voice exploded. “Oh, Stark, there you are! I’ve been wondering why you haven’t called, but then I thoughoh, you know, he’s been busy as usual, but anyway, hello, honey.”

“Hi, mom,” Stark said.

“You sound happy. Are you happy? What’s going on?” She let out a loud gasp. “Did you find an omega?”

Stark felt like he was giving a toy to an excited child. “Something like that,” he said with a smile.

She squealed and Stark had to move the receiver away from his ear.

“Tell me everything about him!” she cried.

Stark was about to gladly gush about Kyle when his mother interrupted him. “No, wait, you know what, I have a better idea. Your father and I want to come meet him. Today. Are you two free today? Well, you better be now because we’re getting dressed right now - honey, put on some clothes, we’re going to see Stark!”

Stark chuckled. “Alright, we’ll be waiting for you. You remember where my house is, right?”

His mother was too busy barking orders at his father to hear Stark. “No, those are wet, I just washed those! Grab the ones on the drying rack!” She sighed. “Honey, your father just woke up and doesn’t know his elbow from his bum. We’ll be over later, don’t you worry. Give us an hour.”

“Okay,” Stark said. He heard half of a sentence on the other line before his mother hung up.

He headed back to the bedroom, where Kyle had roused and was sleepily rubbing his eyes. “Where’d you go?” he asked.

“I called my family,” Stark said, sitting on the edge of the bed next to him. “I told them there was… omega news, for lack of a better term.” He chuckled. “They’re so excited to meet you that they couldn’t even wait. They’re going to be at my place in an hour.”

“An hour!?” Kyle cried. “That’s barely enough time to shower and get dressed! Oh my god, what if they think I’m some kind of slob, or that I don’t arrive on time, or - “

“Relax,” Stark said. He put a firm hand on Kyle’s shoulder. “They’re gonna love you. I know they will. Come on, we better get going.”

Kyle rushed out of bed and put on the first pair of clothes he found, then found the nicest (and cleanest) outfit he had before he practically stumbled over himself getting out of the door.

“Don’t forget to lock your apartment,” Stark said, waving the key.

“An hour!” Kyle cried. “That’s not enough time! Oh my god, I’m gonna have to shower at your place, is that okay?”

“Of course it is,” Stark said. He leaned in with a smirk and murmured, “Hell, we can even shower together to save time.”

Kyle’s face turned red and Stark laughed.

At the front steps to Kyle’s building, Stark stopped. “We can get there faster in wolf form,” he said.

“Right,” Kyle agreed. He paused as Stark shifted first, becoming a muscular grey wolf with thick, shining fur. Kyle stared in awe. He had seen Stark’s wolf once before during the hostage situation in Silvercreek territory last year, but this time the power radiating off his body was something completely different.

“You’re staring,” Stark said playfully. His jaws were closed but he spoke through their telepathic connection.

“Sorry,” Kyle mumbled. He shifted as well and then they took off towards Stark’s place.
