To the omegas' confusion, Killian let out a huge sigh. "Is that all? By the way you two rushed up here, I thought someone died."

"Huh?" Kyle said.

"I told Stark to watch the border," Killian explained. "To be honest, I don't trust that slimy Silvercreek alpha. He let us go without a fight or anything. I suspect he's up to something. That's why I didn't want to leave the border unguarded."

"But aren't there normal border guards?" Scout asked.

"Yes, but I doubt even they could stand up to Warren if he himself decided to show up," Killian growled, remembering how much he hated that man. "Stark is a skilled fighter. If any single guard had a chance to hold off Warren and warn the pack, it's him."

Standing shyly next to Scout, Kyle rubbed his arm. "I see. Um, thank you, Your majesty, Prince Killian. I'm sorry I raised such a fuss."

Killian smiled. "No need for all that 'your majesty' stuff. Any friend of Scout's is a friend of mine."

The little omega's eyes sparkled.

"Oh, that reminds me," Scout began quietly. He glanced nervously into the nursery, making sure the king was out of earshot. "We have to do something about those omega facilities. It's just not right."

Killian nodded. "I agree with you. It's always been something that rubbed me the wrong way." He glanced over his shoulder at the king, who was issuing orders to the maids. "I'll have a talk with my father about it."

The omegas both let out sighs of relief.

"You're the best, Killian," Scout said with a big smile.

"Thank you so much, Prince Killian!" Kyle cried.

Just then, a pair of footsteps from down the hall drew closer. The group turned to see Dr. Morris, who looked both happy and a bit confused.

"There you are, Scout!" he said. "I was wondering where you'd run off to. I was afraid you'd gotten scared and left the pack!" He laughed. "Did you pick up that prescription?"

Scout's whole face flushed with embarrassment and mild fear. He tried to avoid Killian's confused gaze. "Um, no, sorry, Dr. Morris, I got a little distracted helping out my friend."

"Ah, I see," Dr. Morris said. "Well, if you'd like I can print you off another copy, because it turns out you're going to need it."

Scout's blood ran cold. Time seemed to stand still.

Killian's voice came close to his ear, low and curious. "Scout? What's he talking about?"

"I, um," Scout began. The gravity of the doctor's words had descended fully onto him. Hands shaking, he reached out to find Killian's fingers and intertwine them with his own. "Doctor... are you serious?"

Killian gazed wildly back and forth between the two. "Can someone tell me what's going on?"

Dr. Morris beamed at the prince. "Scout is pregnant!"
