“Yeah,” I say with a slight blush.
“As soon as we get back from our away games, it will be official.”
“And then we’ll have to tell Coach,” I say, and Max winces.
“Yeah, there is that.”
“We’ve survived worse,” I say, and he nods, wrapping his arms around me.
“We have,” he replies, and before long, we’re all passed out in the makeshift nest that Sloane and I made, and I don’t think I’ve had a better sleep in my life.
CHAPTER 44
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Ethan asks as he rolls my carry-on through the airport and we hail a ride share.
“Positive,” I say.
“What if they lose and he’s in a shitty mood?”
“Then I’ll make his mood better.”
“Fair,” he replies as he clutches my thigh.
The driver is driving like he’s a character fromGrand Theft Autothrough the streets of Tampa. Ethan looks like he’s about to ask him to pull over, but it’s the afternoon, and I don’t feel as sick with the patch on the back of my ear and the medicine I took before the plane ride.
“He’s coming home tomorrow,” Ethan reminds me, like I don’t know that.
“It’s a grand gesture.”
“I’m staying in the hotel room with you until he gets back.”
“I expected you to. I’m not unreasonable.”
He sighs like I am, in fact, unreasonable for deciding this morning that I couldn’t wait to bond with Bram for another second. So here we are, in Florida where I plan to not only surprise him, but bond with him.
This string of away games has been too much, and I try to hide how sad I am, but both Max and Ethan can feel it. A girl can’t even get mopey without someone being on high alert these days.
Something deep down in my gut tells me that bonding with Bram is the solution.
So here we are.
Ethan called Max as soon as we booked the tickets, so the front desk has a new room key where Max and Ethan will be staying the night and the room key for Bram and Max’s current room.
We head up the elevator and tuck in, watching the game and waiting for him to get back.
Thankfully the Foxes win, and I know tonight is going to be an excellent celebration.
It takes a lot of effort, but Ethan finally leaves me in the hotel room alone. It smells like both of my Alphas, which has me feeling some sort of way.
A very horny sort of way.
I need to get knotted.Bad.
While I wait for Bram, I snoop through his room, finding a T-shirt of his that smells like me, which gives me more pleasure than it should. I’m smelling my scent on the shirt when he opens the door.
His jaw nearly drops as he sees me, and I give him a grin.
“Have you been using this to jerk off while you’re gone?” I ask, and his brows furrow.
