“At least I’ll get to have you touchin’ me for an hour,” he flirts and I smile.

Besides my confrontation with Tate, I can’t imagine a better day.

I’ma little irritated I have to share this small amount of time I have with Lily with Cash, but she is the one who plotted a way to get off the compound, so I’ll take what I can get.

Cash and I look like we’re on our own fuckin’ date because she hasn’t gotten here yet.

“How are we going about this?” Cash asks, taking a sip of his beer.

This place definitely wasn’t my first choice, but it was what Lily wanted. I take a sip of my own beer. I have my own plans in play, but with Cash on board, it definitely helps give me more options when it comes to making Lily mine.

“I’ve got a few ideas…” I trail off, not telling him that my plans involve things like kidnapping or running away.

“We’re not running away,” Cash states as if reading my mind.

“Runnin’ away is the last option,” I reply.

“I don’t know Prez well enough to know how he will react if we just take a stand. I could bond with her. What could he do in response?” he throws out.

I smile against the lip of my beer, quite liking this newly-patched Alpha. At first I thought he was all strength, then I thought he was too smart for his own good. But now? I’m happy he’s on my fuckin’ side of things.

“He will lose his shit. There’ll be violence. Besides the club, the only thing that man cares about is his Omega and Lily,” I tell him, hoping he can read between the lines. Simply put, I wouldn’t put the Prez above murdering someone when it comes to Lily. “Even if she pleads her case for us, we wouldn’t have a spot left in the club. He banged his gavel, statin’ Lily was off limits. We’ll have broken club law,” I explain.

“Fuck club law. I see why Tate hates the prick,” Cash comments.

“You know until y’all rolled up and switched shit up I never really thought twice about how club business is being handled,” I tell him honestly.

“As soon as this Wraiths raid is done, if she wants it, I’m going to bond her,” he says confidently.

“Are you gonna ask her permission, or just bend her over a table and take what you want?” I spit defensively. He glares at me, a completely unamused expression on his face.

“Of course, I will ask her what she wants. It’s fucking fast, but she doesn’t have much time. You want some other assholes taking care of her during her heat? Or her getting shipped off by the Prez to bond with some stale-ass, cookie-cutter douchebags?”

“No, I don’t want any of that shit. But I do want to live,” I argue.

Cash puts his beer down, leans forward, and speaks in an even and calm voice. “I’ll kill the man myself if I have to,” he vows before sitting back in his seat.

“And here I thought you were a cute little fuckin’ bookworm,” I tease, and he cracks a half smile while shaking his head.

“Maybe I’ll kill you too,” he jokes, and I grin at him.

“That would make Lily terribly fuckin’ sad. Hate to break it to you, but you better get used to my handsome fuckin’ face,” I jest.

“Unfortunately,” he sighs.

I’m saved from this awful date night conversation when a smiling Lily grabs the chair between us and sits down. She looks fuckin’ gorgeous wearing a white sundress with her hair in a high ponytail.

“Thanks for coming. I thought Kurt was going to follow me in here for a second,” she says, her cheeks turning a cute shade of pink.

“No worries, darlin’,” I reply. Both Cash and I throw an arm on the back of her chair. Cash glares at me, so I drop my hand onto her thigh. I clearly win this round.

“I guessed your shoe size,” Cash says, handing her the hideous fuckin’ bowlin’ shoes.

“Thanks,” she shyly replies with a blush.

Cash and I are not wearing the bowlin’ shoes, and I dare a motherfucker to come over here and tell us to put them on. We’re both fully wearing our cuts and staying local. All these assholes know who we are and what we’re about.

Cash inputs our names into the computer, with Lily going first. She smiles as she grabs a seven-pound ball that’s sparkly and pink.
