“You’re right, we just worry.”

“And I love you all for it,” she replies.

She kisses the tattoo above my heart, the one with her name. We all surprised her last year when we each sat down with Ink and got a tattoo in honor of her. Mine is a snake wrapped around a lily flower. Cash just straight up got her whole name tattooed as large as he could on a vacant spot on his collarbone. Tate’s tattoo is on his ribs, a skeletal hand holding a lily flower.

She’s a little obsessed with them, and I can tell her having a claim on us is important to her. I also never take off my wedding ring, and she’s the same way.

“Love you forever, darlin’,” I whisper to her as I massage her hair.

“I love you too.”

She rests her head against my chest, and I hold her. I never thought I’d love someone as much as I love Lily, but I’m grateful for it every single fuckin’ day.

One of thegood things about being able to fall asleep so quickly is that I always wake up early. So does Lily, it feels like mornings are our special time together, and I cherish it more than I think she’ll ever know.

She’s stuck between Tate and Axel as her eyes slowly pop open. She gives me a soft smile as she untangles herself from her other two mates and climbs out of bed.

“Hey,” she says in her sleepy, soft voice.

“Hey.”

She comes to stand between my legs where I’m sitting, and I pull her close to me. Lily loves being touched; she loves intimacy, and so do I. I never thought I would be one for public displays of affection, or the type of partner who would constantlybe wanting to touch my Omega. But with Lily? I just can’t get enough.

“Do you want to go get breakfast?” I ask her, knowing full well these two assholes are going to sleep in for at least another few hours.

“Just let me get dressed,” she responds, kissing my cheek and heading to the bathroom.

When she comes out, she’s wearing shorts and one of her Dead Palms t-shirts. The back saysproperty of Pack Valor, and it’s definitely one of my favorites.

I take her hand, and we leave the hotel room quietly so as not to disturb Tate and Axel. Well, that’s on her end. Mine is so that they don’t wake up and take away my alone time with her.

The sun is still low in the sky as it rises, and we walk hand in hand down the already busy streets until we come across the cafe I had in mind.

She orders a drink that is more milk and sugar than coffee, and I keep it simple with just a splash of milk and one sugar. We order some beignets and two breakfast sandwiches. We agree to get Tate and Axel sandwiches on our way out and bring them back to the room.

The cafe has large open windows that face out toward the street, and we sit down at one of the empty tables near them. It doesn’t take long for our drinks and food to come. I keep one hand over the back of her chair as I slowly drink my coffee.

Lily grabs a beignet and takes a large bite, powdered sugar landing on her nose and cheeks. I look over at her with a smile, and she laughs, blowing the sugar right into my face. Which makes her laugh even harder as she tries to swallow her food.

She covers her mouth with her hand as she tries to pull it together. I shake my head, but I can’t help grinning at her.

“You got sugar everywhere.” I scowl, and she starts laughing again.

Her eyes are watering as she finally calms herself down and looks at me.

“I guess that’s what I get for taking such a big bite.”

“Do I have any more sugar on me?” I ask.

She smiles and uses her thumb to wipe the excess sugar off my face and shirt.

“It was really good though. You should have one.”

I grab one of the pastries and place it on my plate, appeasing her. Thank God Tate and Axel aren’t here. The last thing I need is for them to make fun of me as I try to eat this ridiculous powdered sugar treat.

Lily stares at me, waiting for me to take a bite, so I give in. Picking the piece up with two fingers, I place it in my mouth.

It’s actually really fucking good.
