I tug down my zipper and pull out my dick, pissing on his back. I try to write my name, but I’m not sure it translates. My piss splatters against the leather of his blank cut, and I smile to myself.
“You done?” Ambien asks as I tuck my dick away.
“Lookin’ like it,” I reply, and he shakes his head with a smile. We’ve been friends for a while now, even if I want to marry andfuck the shit out of his sister. He’s been going on solo runs for a few weeks now, so it’s nice to have him back for this job.
He takes one arm and I take the other as we drag his limp body over to his buddies, who are also taking a little nap. Tate looks down at the man and back at me before shrugging his shoulders.
“Looks like we won’t need the bolt cutters after all,” Tate comments as he pushes the door open. The place is like a massive barn, but instead of cute little animals, it’s filled with growing pot plants.
Ambien is in charge of taking the plants that matter while Tate, Cash, the prospect, and I take whatever else looks valuable. Having more time to steal shit would have been nice, but then again, we don’t exactly want them knowing who set their warehouse on fire. Though they’ll probably have an idea anyway.
It doesn’t hurt that the Outlaws have plenty more enemies that they’ve pissed off.
We haul out a few of the already processed and packaged bags, along with a few bags of soil that Blaze requested. I’m taking the goods back to the car with the prospect as Tate gets the explosives set up around the warehouse. He’s quick with it, just setting up M-100s in each corner of the room, placing two on top of bags of fertilizer before taking out his lighter and setting each row of plants on fire.
“You sure that’ll be enough?” Ambien asks. Tate doesn’t reply, just rushes us back toward our bikes and the SUV. We all walk back quickly, but I can tell we’re all skeptical. That is until the first major explosion… well, explodes, ripping the roof off the left-hand side of the building.
“Holy fuck,” I chuckle in amazement as I throw my leg over my bike and start the engine. When I look over at Tate, he’s laughing wildly with enthusiasm. It’s contagious, and we’reall riddled with excitement as we ride away with the blazing building at our backs.
Maybe the new guys aren’t so bad after all.
It’s embarrassinghow much I’ve thought about Axel since the other night. I haven’t gotten a chance to see him or talk more about our plans. But for the first time in a long time, I actually feel hopeful. It’s nice to finally have someone on my side when it comes to my future.
My excitement is short-lived because Kurt walks into the kitchen while I’m drinking my morning tea.
“You’ve got a date tonight,” he informs me. He wasn’t asking me if I wanted to go on a date. He’s telling me with no room for arguing that he’s set something up for me.
I know I can go about this a few ways, but no matter which way I choose, it’ll end up with me going on this stupid fucking date.
“With who?” I ask, taking the path of least resistance. I take a sip of the lukewarm beverage and look up at him from the mug.
“Two Alphas, Yonis and Greg. They own a ton of commercial properties in the area, and they’d take good care of you,” he says while he digs in the fridge for something to eat.
“And if I don’t like them?” I question, wondering how far he plans on taking this mission of controlling my life.
“Then I’ll set up another date. All I ask is that you give them a try,” he pleads, his voice and face softening to reveal the old man that’s strictly saved for me. At least, that’s the way it feels sometimes. I know Kurt’s reputation around town isn’t the best, and I trust him to an extent. But when it comes to the rest of my life, I can only trust myself.
“I’ll give them a chance,” I tell him.
He smiles before kissing the top of my head and walking away. I probably should have asked for more details, like... how old are these Alphas? What are they interested in? However, as soon as he said that they own commercial properties, I knew they’re going to be boring. But I’ll go on this date, buying myself some time for Axel and me to come up with a plan.
I’m anxious because I haven’t seen him in a few days.He texted me that he was lying low for a while and he’d see me when he got back. It wasn’t as good of a reassurance as I would like from him, but it has to be enough for now. I shake my head and decide to put some effort into this date, at least for appearance’s sake.
Grabbing my purse, I make my way outside, through the square, and down the dirt road that leads to the rest of the housing for the club. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s home and what I’m used to. The houses are specifically for packed members or in one case, there’s the sweet house. I’m not a huge fan of the term sweet butt, but the girls don’t seem to mind.
Besides my house, I spend most of my time there. Not just because Shelby does my lashes and Cora does my hair, but because I love it there. The girls just get it; they understand the life, and I feel like they understand me more than anyone else in this sandy compound.
I’m almost to the light gray house with the pink door when the rumble of a bike pulls up next to me.
“Where you headed?” Tate asks, and I have to refrain from rolling my eyes.
“To see Shelby. Do I need a hall pass or written permission to see her?” I sass.
“Why the fuck are you hangin’ out with the sweet butts?”
“Don’t call them that; they’re my friends. Plus, Shelby is a lash tech.”
“A what now?” he questions, his dark brows furrowing as he looks at me, confused.
