My knuckles tap on his door.
“Yeah,” he shouts, and I open the door.
“Hey,” I say.
“Hey, everything all right?”
“Just wanted to see what day you thought would work for Kelsey and Liv to come over. Also, I set up my consultation for Heat Haven for Friday.”
“That’s good.” He nods his head.
“Kelsey and Liv don’t have normal nine-to-five jobs, so they can come whenever you want.”
“Is tomorrow too soon?”
He smiles. “I’ll call Kelsey. I’m sure she will make it work. Will you reach out to Liv?”
I nod my head and a small whine leaves my lips and I groan after. “What’s wrong?” he asks.
“Can you hug me?” I ask, feeling so insecure and small.
“C’mere.” He thankfully doesn’t hesitate as he extends his arms out and I easily lean into his embrace, taking a hit of his scent.
“Smith, did I do something at the bar to make you uncomfortable?”
He clears his throat. “No, we’re good.”
“You’re sure?”
“Yeah, I’m sure.”
“Do you want to work out later?”
“Before dinner?”
“It’s a date,” I say stupidly as I spin on my heel and go to my room.
Me:Girl’s night tomorrow?
Liv:Fuck yes! Do you have a favorite meal?
Me:I was just thinking taco and margarita night?
Liv:Perfect, I’ll handle all the food. Anything else you need me to bring?
Me:Just your beautiful self. I need advice.
Liv:On how to get that big man you live with to make a move?
Me:How did you know?
Liv:Been there, done that, I’ll come prepared. Can’t wait to see you!
Me:See you tomorrow!
While I’m so excited to see Liv tomorrow, I sulk in my room for a few hours, waiting until we go to the gym. I made sure that this apartment had its own workout equipment, so that we didn’t have to deal with other people. All the intermingling scents can also be distracting and gross.
Smith doesn’t like it when I exercise without him either, something about me possibly hurting myself.
