Ender shook his head, and flopped down onto the couch, softly whispering, “Forget about it. Forget all about it.”

He did not need the trouble that would come with getting involved further with them. Ender could make enough trouble on his own, he didn’t need help.

Killian snuggled against Cyrus, looking up at him. “Think he’ll be okay?”

“Ender?” The Fate smirked. “No doubt. Probably annoying that friend of his at this very moment.”

He smiled, and thought about telling him about the two men actually being brothers, but decided it would be funnier to keep that bit of information to himself for now. His smile dropped a bit on thinking over last night, and really just everything that had happened over the last few days.

“When we get back, I want to start training with you again.”

Cyrus’ brow rose at that. “You do?”

“I’ve let myself grow weak. If my family intends on continuing to come after me, then I need to be ready. I’ve let myself grow too idle behind a desk. A lot of those fights…I wouldn’t have had trouble with before…”

Cyrus caressed the side of his face. “Then train we will. If you want, you can even take some of Severo’s advanced classes. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind.”

Killian giggled. “I’m not sure I could take any of them and not accidentally undermine him at some point.”

The Fate chuckled. “He has them good and terrified of him. No worries, it will just make them even more terrified of you. And considering some may eventually work in your department, that's probably a good thing.”

“I’ll consider it then.”

“We’ll get you back to where you feel safe again, Killian,” Cyrus rasped.

He smiled wearily. “I don’t even know when it happened.”

“When what happened?”

“When I stopped looking over my shoulder…” Killian sighed. “I suppose, part of me thought that he’d finally given up. But, Cyrus, we have a new problem now. When we finally get back home, what are we going to do about what you did?”

Cyrus, with his hand still caressing his cheek, carefully said, “Nothing. Absolutely nothing. We are going to pretend it didn’t happen until we can’t ignore it anymore. The only thing is…you need to stay far away from every other person in my family. Everyone who is a Grimm, or rather, is biologically a Fate, until I can see if there is a way to hide what I did.”

Pretend it didn’t happen…Yeah, that sounds like the real mature and adult thing to do, he thought with an inner eye roll. Yet, at the same time… “Sounds good to me.”

Cyrus chuckled. “No arguments?”

“Not a one. I’m all for ignoring it until we can’t.”

The man kissed the top of his head. “Then that is what we’ll do.” As his arms wrapped around him more tightly, the Fate hummed, “How about we take a vacation when we get back? Go to some galleries, hike a bit, have fun and relax?”

“I think I’d like that. However, you know we are going to be buried in paperwork and bureaucratic bullshit with everything that happened here, right? Hell, the horde of children alone could be a month’s worth of work.”

Cyrus groaned. “Fine, after all that then.”

Killian smirked. “After.”

“Mm. Let’s nap more.”

He snuggled closer, his eyes seconds from closing when there was a knock on the door.

Cyrus sighed. “Maybe if we ignore it, whoever it is will go away?”

Killian drew in a deep breath, and the scent catching his nose told him well enough that the person wouldn’t. “It’s Severo, so I doubt it.”

“Cyrus, Killian, rescue’s here!”

“Can’t ignore that, I guess,” the Fate said with another sigh.
