Tears of joy rapidly filled my eyes as I let go of the dragon so I could turn around and straddle my Daddy’s lap. His eyes widened, and he grunted in shock as I settled my full weight against him. “I wuv you so bunch Dada. Chu smile pretty n chu hab the best dwagons.”

It was my turn to grunt in shock when he pulled me tight against him. “You are an absolute treasure, baby boy. I love you so much. You’ll always be my sweet baby.”

“For eber n eber.”

I nuzzled my tear-streaked face into the crook of his neck, soaking up his scent and warmth, letting it wrap around me until I felt fuzzy.

“Okay, sweet baby, do you want to eat here with Daddy, or I can call Ellery and see if they want to eat with us. If they say yes, we can pick up some food on the way to your place, and I’ll spend the evening with you.”

Tears of joy filled my eyes once again as I pulled back to rest my forehead against his. “Dat is da best idea eber! Pwease dada.”

Daddy chuckled and patted my bottom. “I had a feeling you’d love that idea. Would you like to take the dragon eggs home to show Ellery?”

My eyes were wide with shock as I gasped, “I can?”

“Of course, you can, little one. This is your special room, and everything inside it is for you. Hopefully, one day you and the eggs will both live here, but for now, I have no problem if you want to take some toys home so you don’t miss them when you’re gone.

My heart felt so incredibly full, I was worried it was going to burst out of my chest. “Chu are da best Daddy eber! Fank chu”

Daddy pulled out his phone and put it on speaker. I clapped and jumped excitedly when I heard Ellery’s voice come through the speaker. “Ewwie Ewwie. Dada said we cud bwing food.”

Ellie cooed, “Hey, Tristan, it sounds like you’re having fun. I was finishing up working on my newest dress and could definitely use some food and time with my bestie.”

“Dada dey said yes, can we go now, pwease.”

“Yes, little one, we can. Give me a minute to talk with Ellery about what we are going to eat, then we’ll get ready.”

Excitement had me practically vibrating as I waited for Daddy to finish talking to Ellery. Thankfully, it wasn’t very long before Daddy was ending the call and popping me on his hip.

I felt as if I was floating on clouds as Daddy got everything ready for us to leave. I loved wearing my diapers when I was with Daddy, but I wasn’t ready to wear them around others quite yet. I knew Ellery would never judge me, but with everything still being so new, it made me uneasy. When I asked Daddy if I could have big boy undies, he seemed hesitant to agree, but I promisedI’d tell him when I needed to go, as I did earlier, and he helped me change.

I wanted to stay in my onesie, so Daddy dressed me in one of his t-shirts and a pair of my sweatpants to hide my little clothes during the drive to my place. I loved wearing Daddy’s shirt; it smelled so good.

Not even an hour later, we were in Daddy’s car with several bags full of food, pulling into my apartment parking lot. I reached for my seat belt but stopped when Daddy spoke. “Nuh huh, little one, wait for Daddy to come around, and I’ll help you.”

That warm, fuzzy feeling surrounded me once again. I loved it when Daddy helped me, even with small things like my seat belt. I wasn’t super deep in my headspace that I couldn’t do it on my own, but that didn’t matter to Daddy. He wanted to care for me regardless of whether I could do it or not, and that made me feel like the most precious boy ever.

Daddy grabbed Ember out of my lap and helped me out of the car. I was practically bouncing as we walked to my front door. Daddy had my keys because I was little, and keys are for big people. Once Daddy had the door unlocked, I ran inside to find Ellie. “Slow down, sweetheart, I don’t want you to fall.” I skidded to a stop and slowed down as I searched for my friend. “I’m going to the truck to grab our stuff. I’ll be right back.”

The living room and kitchen were both empty, so I went down the hall to check their room. I reached for the door but then stopped myself and knocked. “Ewwie, I home!”

Soft footsteps sounded just before the door opened. Before I even realized what I was doing, Ember fell from my grasp asI launched into Ellie and wrapped my arms around them. “I missed you, Ewwie.”

Ellery wrapped their arms around me and nuzzled their cheek against mine. “Aww, I missed you, too, buddy. Someone’s been busy with their new Daddy. Did you have a good time?”

Backing away, I picked up Ember and held him to my chest. “Dada is da best eber! I wub hims.”

“That’s amazing, buddy, I’m so happy for you. he must be a pretty awesome Daddy considering how much deeper in little space you are than usual.”

Ellery ruffled my hair. It was rare for Ellery and me not to be in little space together, but anytime one of us was big while the other was little, we always acted like a big sibling to the other. Our relationship had always been platonic, but we’ve always been more touchy-feely than most best friends. I loved my time with Daddy, but I missed my friend.

I grabbed their hand, threaded their finger through mine, and started pulling them towards the living room. “Dada bot food. wets go.”

Ellery chuckled, stumbling as I pulled them along. “Slow down, buddy, I’m coming, I promise.”

Thankfully, I didn’t have to slow down for long since the apartment was small, and we were already practically in the living room. I couldn’t help it, I was just so excited we had food, and we were gonna talk to Ellery about having a playdate.

“Okay, I think that’s everything. Are you ready to eat?”
