Gently, Sam shifted so his spent member slipped out of Ollie. Then he carefully rolled them over so Ollie was lying on his side, his head still resting in the crook of Sam’s shoulder. And Ollie felt light, fluttering kisses brushing along his forehead and then on his cheeks and jaw. So much love. He felt so much love and gratitude for the man he called his husband. It bubbled up and over until Ollie tilted his head back, needing to find Sam’s lips.

It was another soft kiss, accompanied by the gentle caress of fingertips along his jaw, and Ollie felt fresh tears come to his eyes. He broke the kiss and blinked as he ducked his head, and then he reached up and wiped the tears from his cheeks.

“I-I’m sorry, I’m feeling so much... I-I really didn’t think... I’d ever have this,” Ollie said, his voice low. He wasn’t entirely sure whether he meant making love in this way or just...this. This forever kind of love that he knew didn’t happen every day. This trust and companionship and understanding and patience. This... safety. He shook his head and then curled up in Sam’s arms again.

And Sam didn’t push him to explain more. He just pressed another kiss to Ollie’s forehead and held him. It was an embrace full of warmth and love. It was... everything.

Several minutes later, they both got out of bed for a quick shower together to clean up, and then they crawled back under the warm covers. Ollie immediately curled up against Sam in that spot that seemed to be made just for him—his head resting in the crook of Sam’s shoulder and his hand settled on the center of Sam’s broad chest. And with a content sigh, he closed his eyes.

“You’re happy, love?” Sam asked quietly, his hand rubbing softly up Ollie’s forearm.

Ollie smiled but didn’t open his eyes. “Yeah, I’m...”

...beyond grateful. You make me feel so loved. And despite everything that’s happened, somehow, we found each other. We found each other, and you stayed with me, loved me, supported me. And it’s more than I can put into words—how much that all means, how much you mean to me.

With another long, deep sigh, Ollie snuggled up into his spot more, feeling all of Sam’s warmth and love. “Yeah, yeah, I’m—I’m happy, Sam.”

His hand pressed gently into Sam’s chest, and he swore he felt Sam’s heart stutter.

“Good, good.” Sam pulled the covers up around them a little higher.

“I love you, Sam.”

A light kiss brushed against Ollie’s forehead. “I love you too. Always.”

Ollie nodded against Sam’s chest, squeezing his eyes shut tighter to keep his tears from falling. “Always.”
