“Shit,” he mumbles under his breath. “I can see my cum leaking out of your ass.”

He presses a finger gently inside me, pushing his cum back in.

“Keep that in there, where it belongs.” He pulls me to his chest again, wrapping me in his arms and lifting his leg over mine, pinning me to him. “And I’ll keep you here, where you belong.”

I’m no longer falling for Reed.

I am head over heels in love with him.

Chapter Sixteen

Bella

I’m writing up my notes from our first meeting this morning. We’ve got an hour until our next one and then the diaries are slammed for this afternoon, so this is my only chance to do it. I’ve nearly finished them when Reed walks into the office.

“Here,” he hands me his car keys. I take them and look up at him confused.

“Why are you giving me these?”

“Drive home between our morning meetings and get your bag for the week. I’ll cover for you.”

Here we go again.

“Reed, I’m not staying with you tonight.”

“Come again?” His eyes narrow on me as his jaw hardens.

“We had this discussion on the way back from San Francisco. I can’t stay with you all the time, it’s too obvious and my parents will start to ask questions. Plus, I might not be an expert at relationships, but you don’t spend twenty-four-seven together to start with. It’s a recipe for disaster.”

“I don’t care about other people’s relationships. I care about ours, and I refuse to spend unnecessary nights away from you.” I don’t think I’ve ever seen Reed angry, but he is definitely close to it now.

I try to reason with him. “Reed, we agreed to take things slow.”

“I never agreed to that, Bella. I’m not doing ‘slow’ with you. You need to say something to your parents soon or I’m telling them.”

“Reed, no, it’s too soon. They’re not ready for that.”

“They’re never going to be ready. I’m not asking you to marry me, Bella — not yet, anyway. But, I am done spending the night away from you. I’m too old to be hiding my relationship. I want you on my arm so everyone knows who you belong to. I want your face to be the last one I look at when I go to sleep and the first one I see when I wake up. I want you, Bella. All of you.”

“Shit, Reed,” I whisper, knowing it’s what I want too. “After this weekend, okay? My Dad’s throwing his big annual party — let’s not rock the boat before then. After that, we’ll sit them down and talk to them.”

“Fine,” he sighs, “but, we’ll be going to San Francisco for some of this week. I’m not going a fucking week without you in my bed.”

“Okay, baby. You sort out a reason to go and I’ll be there,” I say, going up on my toes and placing a gentle kiss to his lips.

“I like that,” he murmurs.

“What, me kissing you?”

“No — I mean, yeah, obviously that too — but I meant youcalling me ‘baby’.”

“You were acting like one,” I smirk. I am so getting in trouble for that comment.

He turns on his heel and heads to the door. I think he’s leaving but instead he reaches out and turns the lock.

“Turn around and put your hands on the desk,” he orders.

“Yes, Mr Burke,” I purr.
