A Drink Among Men . . .
It was our last night in California, and the time here was outstanding. Jubilae and I were able to complete everything to go live withMediGenix’snew drug marketing. She was able to successfully prove herself as the powerhouse that I knew she was. We were also able to show that we were locked the hell in with each other on a deeper, growing level.
Tonight was the night that Chance and I had drinks. Last night, he, Joy, Jubilae, and I had dinner together. I was intentional about my public displays of affection toward her because I needed her brother-in-law to understand that I would not play with or about Jubilae. I understood what this meeting was about when he insisted that we meet. What I didn’t expect was that Jubilae’s son, Julius Junior, and nephew, Chance Junior, would also be in attendance.
“I feel honored that you two flew out here to meet me. This is a surprise, but I like surprises in the right situation.” I took a sip of my beer.
JJ, as Julius Junior asked me to call him, nodded his head. “It’s definitely not a problem to come meet the man that is trying to be with my mama. That will always deserve a flight to anywhere in the world.”
“I agree that it does. Oh, and it’s with your mother, not trying to be. I just want to make sure we all level set with the reality of what this is.” I spoke with finality because there was no budging from the facts.
I didn’t get where I was by pussyfooting around people. Hell, the one person I pussyfooted with, I allowed myself to be lockedinto a miserable marriage for too many years. I would never make that mistake again.
Chance chuckled. “I can’t even be mad at it. It’s clear that she likes you just as much as you like her.”
JJ’s head snapped in his direction. “Unc, how do you know that? Did she tell you that or some shit?”
He didn’t respond immediately. He took a sip of his drink, then ate a few fries.I hate fries. Simonette is to thank for that.“No, she didn’t tell me that directly, but I have a wife that I talk to who tells me things. I also know what I saw yesterday when they interacted with each other. I’ve known your mother longer than you have, and trust me, you might as well start calling this man Pops.”
CJ, as Chance Junior told me to call him, covered his mouth to stop the beer that he spit out from going all over the place. His father’s comment was hilarious, and it rang true. I respected that he understood what it was. It didn’t surprise me that he and Joy spoke about me and Jubilae. Jubilae and I spoke about them, and that was before Pressie let me into her pussy and heart.
JJ did not find his uncle’s statement in the least bit comical. I understood why, because his mama and I already had a conversation about our children’s reactions to our relationship. That was just as important as when we disclosed to human resources.
“Look, JJ, I understand your apprehension about me coming into your life. I know that I am the first man that your mother has been in a serious relationship with since your father’s passing. I want you to hear me when I say that I will never hurt your mother intentionally. I respect and care about her too much,” I assured him. “If I ever hurt her in that way, I personally give you permission to try to beat my ass.”
That pulled a chuckle out of him. “Oh, okay. I guess I can accept that.” He took a sip from his beer. The table was quietfor a moment before he broke it. “Look, I’m a grown man, so it’s not like I need a father or anything. I wouldn’t mind being your friend, though, if you’re good to my mama.”
I nodded with understanding. Chance clapped his hands together with a smile. “Alright! With all hearts and minds cleared, let’s move onto sports. Robert, I heard your son-in-law is Daylen Verse, nigga.”
A Short Time Later . . .
“Just like that, Pressie. That deep arch is fuckin’ beautiful from back here.” I complimented my baby before I smacked her ass. It sounded off too.
We spent the night at my house last night after a long night at the office. Our marketing campaign had taken off and was being met with opened arms. Our pharmaceutical reps were putting in overtime meetings with doctors. Last night, Jubilae and I had dinner with the heads of a major hospital network in Georgia about adding our new medication to their hospitals. Those dinners could be long because as much business was discussed, more bullshit was discussed than anything. While they talked about sports and stupid shit, I wanted to close the deal, then take my woman home to have some celebratory pussy.
“Please don’t stop, baby. Right there! I’m about to cum!” Jubilae’s nut wet my dick and trickled down her inner thighs.
Every other day, she fussed about menopause. She claimed that vaginal dryness was a common symptom of menopause because of the decreasing estrogen level and that we might have to resort to using lubricant. I wasn’t sure if that was just something that she was told, but her pussy had no issues withlubricating this dick. If it did ever get to that point, I’d buy the shit in bulk.
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” My nut shot out of me like a rocket when her pretty pussy vise-gripped around my dick.
She fell flat on the bed which caused me to fall on her back. I took a second to get my eyesight together before I pulled out of her and rolled to the side. “Pressie, don’t you fall your ass to sleep. We have to be in the office in less than three hours.”
“I’m not going to sleep. I’m just letting my eyes kiss for a second,” she mumbled tiredly. She jumped when I smacked her ass. “Ow, Robert, that hurt.”
I wrapped my arm around her after she rolled over and snuggled into my side. I kissed her forehead. “Are you ready for the meeting today?”
“I’m ready for it. I wonder if they’re ready for the meeting.” She giggled. “You could have told them what it was about. You do realize that it raises red flags when the CEO and president of a company request a meeting with not only HR but legal as well.”
I chuckled. “Yeah, you’re right. They probably think it’s work related. I can promise you that they don’t think that it’s about us being in a romantic relationship. There’s about to be a lot of red faces in the . . .”
I know that’s not fucking bacon I smell.Just like I smelled it, so did Jubilae. She sat up in the bed, sniffed, then looked back at me. “Did you hire someone to come cook breakfast for us?”
I wiped my hand down my face. “No, I didn’t. That is none other than my lovely daughter, Simonette, coming to be overbearing.”
Meet The Daughter. . .
After Julius died, I remembered something that my father told me that I held close to me. He told me not to seek love. Just like I allowed the real love of Julius to find me, whoever God had for me in the next romantic chapter of my life would find me too.
