The need was desperate; he could feel it in the way he looked at him and in the way he touched him, and Myles could admit that he felt the same. The connection between them was fierce; he wasn't sure if it would last, but at the moment, it was overwhelming and wondrous.

Flint settled on top of him and kissed him while grinding his hard cock against him. Myles held him and returned the kiss with the same amount of fervor. He felt Flint's knee pushing his thighs further apart, and felt Flint settling between them. It was so natural and so right. His body was made for Myles.

The moment he was held so tightly, so completely, and penetrated, he experienced the sensation, the overwhelming sense of belonging and fulfillment, and when he looked at Flint, he saw home. It was wonderful; his mind was filled with images of love and comfort, and his senses were suffused with his lover's presence. His scent blanketed him, and he eagerly drank it in.

The room reverberated with sounds of sex and need, and Myles held his lover fast as he pounded inside, sensitizing his tender flesh and pushing him to completion. Flint whispered sweet things into his ear, and Myles shivered at the way his hot breath played along his flesh.

There was definitely something special about this man; he was more than just a one-night stand. He was meant to be here. Myles could feel the truth and the ownership, the natural state of being that took him whenever he was with Flint so close. He could feel it down to his bones, although he had no explanation for it.

The sweet pounding of his tender flesh continued as Flint plunged inside, stretching and filling him, the friction sending him to the edge. The moan escaped of its own will; he had no control over the ecstasy he was feeling as Flint took him over the edge.

He came hard, spreading his seed between them, and then Flint thrust deep and held fast as he growled deep in his throat and climaxed, filling Myles with his hot essence stream after stream, sensitizing and stimulating every nerve ending. The excitement was electric; it was charged with feelings beyond titillating. The feeling was extreme yet profound; it stirred and settled simultaneously. He was learning something, but he couldn't quite grasp it yet.

He was panting and trying to get his heart back into his chest when Flint looked at him, his eyes still radiant and his face still sharp. There was a question there in his eyes, and all Myles could do was nod; he wanted this, whatever it was. It was right.

Flint buried his face in the crook of Myles’ neck, and he felt a sharp sting and then an overpowering sense of peace and delight that washed over him in a wave. He felt his body tremble, and he felt Flint licking at the base of his neck and his shoulder. The sensations were out of this world and stirred every molecule of his body.

He remained still, taking in the reverberations that echoed through his body, each bringing new delights and sensations. His heart slowed down, and his breath became even. He looked up at Flint, and his features were soft once again, and there was a guilty smile playing about his lips.

"You bit me," Myles said, his voice soft and rough. Flint slowly eased out of Myles’ overheated body and lay down beside him, gathering him close. The comforter was bunched haphazardly around them.

"Yes, I did," Flint responded. Myles lay his head on Flint’s shoulder and was embraced tightly. It made him feel like more than just a sex partner; he felt like he belonged. That feeling hung over this encounter at every turn. The joining of their bodies felt like the joining of their lives.

“You’re more than human, aren’t you? There is a reason that the Hadden Center feels so otherworldly, isn't there?” Myles asked. He knew of the rumors about the Hadden Center andthe people of the Hadden Corporation. Most who heard the stories of superpowers and the supernatural laughed them off as nonsense, but there was something more than simple business at work.

The energy was different here, and at the Imperial Club, it was pointed and intense. It could be felt in your bones and in your mind. That same energy encompassed every member of the Hadden group.

Randy said he was ridiculous and that there weren’t supernatural beings in Pittsburgh. He felt the strange energy but said it was due to their influence and power, and that we were simply intimidated by them.

"What are you, Flint? I saw your eyes and your face. Everything about you intensified in that moment we came together." Myles prompted, wondering if Flint would tell him the truth, or if he would brush it all aside with a laugh and a scoff, or, worse, ask him to leave.

"I'm a vampire, Myles, and I just claimed you as my beloved." He stated it clearly, no scoff or diversion, and Myles was struck silent for a moment as his words took their time settling in.

“You drank from me.”

“Yes, and marked you as my own." He paused and then continued. "I recognized you when we met at the shop. I scented you first, you smelled like lovely hyacinth, and then I saw you standing there looking so handsome and sweet.” He explained Fate and the bond, and the driving need to be together; it all made sense in light of what Myles had been feeling ever since meeting him. They were drawn together, their need for each other growing with each passing minute.

“How long will the bond last?” Myles asked.

"The bond is forever, my love, we are forever. It will continue to grow stronger every day. It's a gift from Fate and sacred among my people.” He spoke of it reverently and held Myles as if he were someone special, but confusion still lingered in his mind.

“Forever?”

“Yes, my love." He turned out the light and gathered him close once again, pulling the comforter around them. "Sleep, clear your mind, and we'll talk more in the morning." Myles was pretty sure he wasn't going to be able to sleep, not with the startling revelations he’d just been given. But it wasn’t long before he was fast asleep in his lover’s arms.

CHAPTER SIX

Flint held him all night, afraid in some part of his mind that he might disappear if he let go of him. He hadn't intended to claim him; his plan was to simply spend this night getting to know each other better. But things changed when that hungry look entered Myles’ expression and his eyes called out for him to take control. It was all there, so clear and so irresistible that Flint's instincts took over, and the bond was set.

He didn’t regret it, nor did he regret pulling Myles into his life. The acceptance was taking shape, and the connection between them was unmistakable. He simply sped up the timeline, but now he needed to explain everything, and hopefully Myles was as understanding as he assumed.

Flint pulled him tight and glanced out the window at the dawn. It was a new day, the first day of his bonded future. He couldn't help but smile and feel joy.

“They paid up.” The wolf entered the alpha’s office and slapped the envelope on his desk. “Roughing up his son and that employee seemed to do the trick.”

Alpha Rand picked up the envelope and thumbed through the bills inside. "I enjoyed roughing them up, and the cash was just a bonus." He laughed as if what he said was funny. "Bring me, Calder Ashe; he’s the best man for this next job.”

“The kidnapping?” The man asked with a grin. “You’re going to go after the employee?”
