I’m still flyinghigh as the night winds down.

The amount of people who came up to me to say hi and tell me how much they liked my set absolutely blew my mind. I even had a few ask for my autograph, saying they knew I’d be big some day and they wanted to prove they were at my first official show.

The grin on Silas’s face as I signed each bar napkin was priceless.

Nikki leans over to me and whispers in my ear, “I’m going to take off. You’re going home with him, right?”

I turn to her with a flash of panic racing through my expression, which makes her laugh. We rode together, so she can’t just leave me here, assuming I’ll go home with Silas.

“Why that look?” she asks with a laugh.

“I can’t just tell him to take me home,” I whisper to her, making her laugh again.

“Yes, you can. Watch.” She yells out to Silas, who is talking to one of the guys from his station, “Hey, Silas.”

He gives her his attention, “Yeah?”

“I’m taking off. You got my girl from here, right?”

The side of his lips tilts up in a sexy grin as he looks at me, then back at her. “Yeah, I got her.”

She nudges me. “See.” Then, she leans in closer so no one else can hear. “Have fun,” she singsongs, making me blush all over, especially when I meet eyes with Silas.

I get the feeling he knows exactly what she just said to me. I turn to face the bar, trying to hide my embarrassment.

He leaves his friend and walks over to me, wrapping his arms around me from behind and kissing my neck, sending chills throughout my body, just as I expected would happen when Nikki and I discussed my outfit earlier tonight.

“You want to get out of here?” he whispers, making my entire body melt.

“Sure,” I whisper, surprised I’m even able to do that.

He turns me to face him and places his hands on the nape of my neck. He pulls my lips to his in a soft kiss that promises more to come. “Let’s go.”

He motions to Joey behind the bar. “I’m out of here. Can you close out my tab?”

Joey sets the bill on the bar. “Already did.”

Silas laughs at his friend, turns to sign the form, and puts his card back in his wallet.

“See you guys later!” he announces.

They all respond with their goodbye, a few people saying again how much they enjoyed my set as I walk hand in hand with Silas out of the bar.

He pulls me close to him as we walk to where he’s parked. When we get to his truck, he spins me until my back is to his passenger side and presses his body into mine.

“Please tell me I get to take you home with me tonight?”

He doesn’t kiss me or move an inch as he waits with bated breath for my answer.

I don’t respond, just nod with a grin, and he pulls my waist into him, kissing me again before opening the door for me to hop in.

Once he’s in on his side, has his seat belt buckled and the truck started, he reaches for my hand and holds it in his as we drive to his place.

My heart is pounding the entire drive. I’ve never left a bar like this with a guy. Every time I’ve slept with a guy for the first time, we were already either at his place or mine. This is the first time I’ve had to drive home with both of us knowing what is to come. The anticipation is so heavy in the air, making it hard to even breathe.
