His bringing up Leek really pissed me off because that wasn’t my fault. The guilt from that is probably why I felt I needed to help Scooter. It’s one of those things I stored in mymind and tried to forget. His sending that reminder just made me realize that Leek’s and my relationship was something else Piggy didn’t know about.

He flicked his nose before he tapped my chest with the back of his hand. “These niggas are going to come for you, and I hope like hell you're ready.”

The last thing I was worried about was niggas stepping to me. I came to win money, but it was apparent I came to whoop ass. When I stepped outside, I saw Scooter trying to talk to the girl who had run off. I stood next to my car waiting for him. I knew it was only a matter of time before those niggas came out shooting. Scooter jogged my way, “I’m going to go back with her to make sure she’s good. You straight?”

I nodded. “Yeah, I’m good,” I paused. “Thanks for having my back,” I muttered.

He gave me a corny grin. “Nah, thanks for believing in me, sorry shit didn’t work out,” he said as he backed away and hopped in the girl’s car, and they took off.

After I got in my car to leave, a group of bikes came from behind the building, speeding out of the parking lot. “What the fuck?” I mumbled as my head turned to follow each person who rode by.

When I turned back around, two people were helping Six out of the building. One of the niggas helping him had a jacket with NTR on it. Right then, I knew that Six had to be a part of their crew. Not only did those niggas have beef with Mali, but now me.

I backed up and sped out of the parking lot before they realized it was me sitting there. I had a little more information on them to share with the Zoo, but I also needed to holler at Dio because I wasn’t giving up on Scooter.

PRESS PLAY

I had been worried since Kareem shared the little that he did with me. The fear that he held stayed with me all night. I wanted to pop up and check on him, but I had no information on where he stayed. I knew it was a long shot, but I texted and asked. When he said he was meeting up with a friend to go to a rap session, I became curious because what were the odds?

I was quite familiar with them and knew where they were held. I hadn’t been to one since going with Papi to support his brother. When I pulled up to the crowded parking lot, it brought back memories. The vibe wasn’t new to me, so I was ready for the smoke-filled air, crowded spaces, and a bunch of hood niggas and bitches doing what they do best.

Seeing Kareem up there rapping about me made butterflies fill my stomach. He had real talent, but no one could see itbecause they preferred sticking with the familiar rather than giving someone new a chance.

The closer he got to Papi’s brother, Six, the more I knew what was about to happen, and sure enough, a fight broke out. When Kareem and Papi started fighting, I ran. Not because I was afraid, but because I didn’t want Papi to see me. The Morwood boys were dangerous, and if Scooter thought what he and his friend were doing would be the end, they were mistaken.

Now Kareem and I were back at my place. He stood at my front door awkwardly. I turned to him, “Come inside,” I told him.

He ran his hand over the back of his neck. “Nah, I wanted to make sure you were good.”

I tossed my hand on my hip. “What are you so afraid of. I’m asking you to stay. I’m a big girl, I know what I’m doing,” I hissed.

He laughed and shook his head. “You don’t get it, do you, Rich Girl. You and I are in two different calibers. I can’t even afford to buy you breakfast, and you’re standing there acting like I’m some nigga you're into. You don’t have to feel sorry for me. Trust me, I got enough of that shit.”

I did feel sorry for him, but not in the way he thought. I felt sorry for him because he felt he wasn’t deserving. I eased closer to him and took his hand in mine. “You are deserving just like anyone else. We don’t have to follow the rules. We don’t have to be traditional either. Ok, you're in-between blessings, so what?”

The way Kareem gazed at me was as if he was trying to contemplate if doing what he and I both wanted to do was right. Maybe it was Flex in his mind, but she and I were cool. We weren’t best friends, nor were we related, so I didn’t understand. “What’s on your mind?” I asked as I got even closer to him.

His hand rose slowly as he gently stroked my cheek. “I’ve never met a girl like you. One who doesn’t know me from Adam, but is willing to risk everything for me. Porsha wasn’t like you, and I’m still trying to figure out how someone like me stumbled upon a princess like you.”

Before I could respond, he leaned forward and kissed me. It wasn’t soft and gentle but lustful and passionate. Kareem nibbled on my lips before he took my tongue into his mouth. I stepped back, and he moved forward, still kissing me. I pulled at his coat and shirt to get them off. “You sure about this, Rich Girl?” he whispered between kisses.

“Let me show you,” I told him as I fully pulled back.

I eased my shirt off, then my pants, as I stood in front of him in my panties and bra. “Yes, yes, I’m sure,” I said.

He swooped me up with one arm, allowing me to wrap my legs around his waist. I expected him to carry me to the room, but instead, he turned me toward the back of the couch and set me down while still holding me in his arms. He pressed his nose against mine. “I don’t know anything about that soft shit, so if it becomes too much, let me know, and a nigga will stop.”

I nodded slowly. Kareem stepped back, grabbed something from his pocket, and then removed his pants and his boxers. The way his dick fell, hitting his thigh, I almost fell back on the couch. He slid a condom on, then glanced at me and winked.

I gave a quick head shake before my eyes landed back on him. His brows lifted before he bit into his bottom lip, revealing his grills. Kareem was handsome; you could tell he was rough around the edges, but nothing a line-up couldn’t fix. He wasn’t the knight in shining armor who always came to the princess’s rescue, but rather the half-man, half-wolf that she ended up falling for.

I made the come here motion with my finger. He eased my way as he gripped his dick in his hand. When he came forward, he wasted no time in pulling me forward, sliding my panties to the side, and entering me. My nails dug into his back as a sharp squeal belted from me. “Wha—”

I couldn’t get out what I wanted to say because he had silenced me with a kiss. I could feel his hands push my legs open wider before he gripped my waist. The way Kareem was rolling his body seemed like he was trying to prove a point.

Roll forward. Roll backward.

My head rolled back as he sucked on my neck so hard I knew a mark was going to be left. “Mm, that feels so good,” I moaned.
