We pause by the driver’s door, and he turns me to face him.

“You’re not sorry you came, are you?” he asks.

“No. Not at all.”

“Good.” He dips and gives me a soft kiss, then opens my door.

I slip inside, and he leans in. “I’ll call you.”

I nod, happiness flooding through me. That has to be enough. “Goodbye, Blue.”

He winks, and I start the engine. He stands there motionless, and when I look in my rearview mirror, he’s still watching me until I pull out onto the highway.

Blue—

A plume of dust rises behind Luisa’s car.

She was quite the surprise, showing up like she did. That took guts walking into the Saint’s Outlaws clubhouse unannounced and alone. The girl’s got grit, I’ll give her that.

Christ, she’s something else. Prettiest girl I’ve ever seen and with a rockin’ body to boot. I drag a hand down my face. Thiscould get out of hand quickly, because I already know once with her is not enough for me. I’m going back for more.

But one thought has an uneasy feeling skating down my spine.

I didn’t have the heart to tell her the condom broke.

When it happened, I quickly disposed of it before she could see it.

Fuck.This could be bad.

But what are the odds she’d get pregnant the first time?

Hell, I can’t do anything about it now. All I can do is cross that bridge if I come to it.

The door behind me opens, and the prospect comes to stand next to me, watching her car disappear down the highway.

“Who was that girl?”

I turn my icy stare on him. “She was never here. Got that, prospect?”

He straightens, the smile fading from his face. “Yes, sir.”

With that, I stride inside.

CHAPTER FIVE

Blue—

It’s been two days since Luisa visited the clubhouse.

I sit at the bar with a shot of whiskey while Gypsy, the prospect who was here that day, washes glasses. Glancing around, I frown. “Hey, Gypsy, where’s the other prospect?”

“Punk? He’s taking out the garbage.”

These two have only been prospecting for a month. They’re a couple of guys Zig hired to help out down at the garage. We need more guys, so when they showed an interest in joining the club, Rio decided to take a chance and let ‘em prospect. They’ve got a lot to prove before we ever decide if they deserve to wear a Saint’s Outlaws patch on their backs. Maybe after today, we won’t be so desperate to fill out the ranks. I push my glass forward. “Hit me again.”

He pours me another shot, and we hear the rumble of bikes. The club has been gone for three days now, and I’ve been bored as hell. I’ve spent most of the time forbidding myself from seeking out Luisa for another round.
