“Ma, we’re not a couple.” She turned my face to hers.
“Yet.” She smiled.
“I have faith in my son to do what’s right and make her see the real you. The man who would give his woman the world if she deserved it. And from what I can tell thus far, you have feelings for her and it’s ok. You can’t help who you fall for.” She kissed my cheek and took herself on the dance floor with the others. Kateri immediately invited her to stand by her. My Aunt Sophia stood next to Sariah and from what Raul said, told her she better not deliver her grandbaby tonight because she was drunk and needed to be sober during the delivery.
At two in the morning, my mom finally called it a night. My pops was happy because he claimed to be tired. Sariah went home an hour ago and Kateri was helping my sister, Jackie and a few of my cousins put the gifts in the truck. I made my way to where she was after coming inside.
“I’m glad you had a good time.” I took her hand in mine while she grabbed her shoes, clutch and phone. I removed the shoes to carry since she had the other stuff.
“Aww look at you being a gentleman.” She squeezed my cheek like a mom would to a kid.
“I am a gentleman when I’m around a woman that’s worth it.” Lifting her up and walking her out to the limo waiting, she wrapped her arms around my neck.
“Thank you. My feet were hurting but I knew better than to ask.” I laughed and placed her inside.
“Hold on.” I went back in to grab a gift bag.
On my way out, Nicole stopped me. I saw her off and on throughout the night but all she said was hello.
“Hey, can I come by to talk later?” I know she wasn’t talking about my house.
“You mean at the office?” The seductive look on her face told me Rosalina was right in what she said.Nicole knew I didn’t want her so this was out of character for her.
“I’ll be at the office on Monday and we’ll speak then. Goodnight.” Not giving her a chance to respond, I stepped out and got in the limo.
“Oh you didn’t have to give me a gift bag.” She took it to look inside. They were big bags that held expensive stuff.
“You know damn well you wanted one and besides, it’s some nice shit in there.” She rolled her eyes but they lit up at all the shit in there.
It was a Louis Vuitton scarf with gloves, a pair of sunglasses, a small shoulder purse, and a gift certificate for $1000.00 to shop there. The Tiffanys box held a bracelet for the women and a money clip for men. I made sure to grab the one with a ribbon. It was to distinguish the boxes.
“I’ve never had a gift bag with these types of things inside.”
“Broke people can’t afford to do that, that’s why.” She shook her head.
“I don’t know why I talk to you.” She put the bag on the seat and rested her head on my shoulder. The hotel wasn’t far so she better not fall asleep.
After twenty minuteswe arrived and Kateri was amazed at how nice the hotel was. I guess she would be since she’s probably used to the Double Tree or Red Roof Inn.
“I’ll call when I’m ready.” I told my driver who said he’ll see me the following day. I had no plans on being with Kateri longer than a few hours so he better be close.
“Why are we going in this way?” She wondered about us being let in an employee entrance.
“Believe it or not, I’m noticed by many no matter where I’m at. Therefore I try to remain out of sight in public.” She said I was full of myself again but it was true. I’m well known and people do flock to me.
Pressing the button for the elevator after receiving the key from one of my workers disguised as an employee, we stepped on the elevator. Noticing Kateri admiring the clear elevator and how you could see the room doors on each floor, I stood behind her.
“You allowed a lot of niggas in your personal space.” I kissed the side of her neck. Quite a few of my cousins tried to kick it to her which was why I had to tell everyone to leave her alone.
“Yea but the only one worthy enough of being in my space is standing behind me.” She lifted my hand and slid one of my fingers in her mouth. Feeling her tongue swirling around made me snatch it out.
“Save that for my dick.” She stepped off when the elevator door opened.
“Then come let me see it.” She walked backwards to the door. It was the only one on the floor.
“I wanna make love to every part of you and I’m just letting you know it’s gonna be intense.”Her voice was sexy as hell when she said that.
“Oh yea.” I ain’t ever have a woman say she wanted to make love to me. It had me intrigued at the moment.
