“Will you please draft that also?” asked Remy. “I would like to send out the Proclamation and the announcement at the same time…and as soon as possible.”

Bowing his head, Brady murmured, “Of course, Your Majesty.”

“What are your plans for Zohar and these other three goons?” asked Cody.

Remy gave Carson a devious smile before turning back to Cody. “I plan to make an example of them to all in the Mystic Realm.”

“I just heard the news!” Jackson exclaimed, walking into the kitchen. “I haven’t spoken with Theo yet, but he must be over the moon.”

Steel looked up from the pot he was stirring on the stove and grinned at Jackson. “Hey, love, what news is that?”

“You know,” Jackson murmured, plastering himself against his mate’s back. “There’s something so sexy about you in an apron.”

Wiggling his butt against Jackson’s cock, Steel smiled at his mate’s moan, before turning around. “I would love to get you hot and bothered right now but that, unfortunately, will have to wait until tonight. Dinner’s almost ready and I’m on my own tonight.” Returning the hug, Steel kissed Jackson, before asking, “Want to keep me company while I finish cooking?”

Jackson gave a quick kiss back before sitting down at the island. “Ta da!” he announced, “Theo’s pregnant.”

Startled, Steel stared at his mate. “You’re shittin’ me! How the hell did that happen?”

Grinning, Jackson said, “Well, it starts with…”

“I know that part,” Steel growled. “Skip to the part of how the hell it can happen without their third?”

Shrugging, Jackson said, “According to Mac and Ian, the mating habits of the Ghost Bears only require two to have a cub.”

“Fuck…how come they never told us? All along, I was worried how Norm would react when they found their third…so that was all for nothing?”

“It would appear so,” Jackson said.

Turning back to the stove, Steel picked up a spoon and resumed stirring the stew in the pot. “A bear cub…”

“Maybe two,” Jackson said, smirking. “Bears do tend to have more than one cub.”

Shaking his head, Steel chuckled. “I don’t know whether to congratulate Norm or offer my sympathies.”

“Definitely congratulations unless you want to earn Theo’s ire,” Jackson replied, grinning.

“Don’t want that,” Steel muttered, removing the sauce from the heat. Setting it down on the counter, he wiped his hands on his apron before turning back to his mate. Crossing his arms against his chest, he asked, “So what’s Theo’s due date?”

“Five months or so…according to Mac,” Jackson replied. “He said he’d be able to pinpoint it better once he does an ultrasound.”

“Did Mac say anything about Theo being able to continue working in the kitchen?”

“Just the usual…he’ll have to wait and see if there are any complications, etcetera, etcetera…you know,” Jackson said.

“Yeah…well hopefully, Theo’s pregnancy will be without any drama. After yours, Ian’s, and Dakota’s, it would be nice, for once, if everything could be normal.”

Bursting into laughter, Jackson wagged his finger at Steel. “Babe, as far as I know, there is no such thing as a normal pregnancy. I thought you’d have figured that out by now.”

“I can hope,” Steel said, smiling.

“You could…but I wouldn’t if I were you.”

Sighing, Steel nodded. “I need to figure out what to do about meals…with Dakota out of commission, and now Theo’s pregnancy…”

“I know babe,” Jackson said. “But not to worry—I’ve already taken care of it for you.”
