“Okay.” Mini seemed to get that okay, nodded at him once. “I’ll wrap it.”
“Good. You’re doing too good this year, man.” He dug his thumbs into the muscles of Jason’s calf, the shorts giving him plenty of access.
“Uhn.” Jesus, that sound was sex. Pure, raw sex. “I want it bad, Bax. I can fucking taste it.”
“I want it too, man. You have no idea.” Such a dangerous thing, touching Jason like that. Bax kept on, though, all the way up to that knee.
“I do. I know.” Jason arched a little, toes curling. “That’s… Didn’t know I was so tense…”
“Mmmhmm. You were really tight. Hard.” Oh, yeah. He was working on hard as if he hadn’t come an hour ago.
Jason’s eyes were closed, cheeks flushed as he nodded. “Needed a good rub-down, huh?”
“Uh-huh.” His voice sounded like frogs had gotten stuck in his throat. “Sometimes a man does.”
“You know it, Bax.” He wasn’t the only one tenting—that T-shirt couldn’t hide Jason’s happy.
All he had to do was reach out and touch… Higher… He wanted to. Oh, God, he wanted to. If they’d both had three or four more beers, he might. Instead he just sat there with his teeth in his mouth, hands on Jason’s skin, staring.
Those too-pretty-to-be-a-guy’s eyes popped open, looking right at him, just not backing off a bit.Jesus. Jesus fuck.
The banging on the door had him jumping up off the bed like he’dbeen shot.
“Andy! Jase! Bunch of us are going out to shoot pool. Wanna?”
Well, that had taken his cock right down. Clearing his throat, he headed for the door, cracking it open. “Depends on who’s buying.”
AJ grinned, that front tooth missing. Man, Missy was going to kill him. “Shit, man. Jase won the round. He’s buying!”
“Sure. You just ask him if he wants to. He’s changed and all.” Everyone knew Mini was in for the night if he was wearing those fuzzy shorts.
“Oh, dude. He’s already out of the jeans?” AJ sighed, shook his head. “We meeting for breakfast?”
“Yeah. We’ll do the buffet.” They got discounts and shit. They might as well take advantage of it.
“Cool. Night, y’all.” As he shut the door, he could hear AJ. “Jase was already in the bed, y’all. He ain’t coming.”
“What am I? Chopped liver?” Bax winked at Jason, wandering back to his own bed and staring at the TV.
“Nah, they all just know us, huh?” Jason looked over, winked back. “Antisocial assholes that we are.”
“Yeah. Well. Did I mention I’m old?” He’d been a lot more social, once upon a time. But that was for the kids.
“Once or twice. We got a couple more go-rounds in us, man. No giving up on me.”
“Not about to.” No, sir. That man was gonna be a champion. Even if he couldn’t ride the circuit anymore, he’d be there for Jason.
Even if it killed him.
Chapter Six
“Man, look at Andy! He’s gonna get him some!” AJ handed Jason a beer, Buck coming to stand on the other side of him.
“Yeah, it’s about time.” Bastard, out there dancing with that little blonde gal like he hadn’t blown the hell out of his knee in the short go. Amazing what a fucking cortisone shot would do for a man who came in third for the event.
That part was okay—the third part. Bax needed a couple of rides.
But the blonde part? The dancing part on that knee?
