I grumble in displeasure at the formal name Percy always insists on calling me when we're out in public, but I don't chastise him for it because I'm distracted by the vision of Alicia walking out of the building, pausing for a moment, and then running towards the woman standing beside the car.
Percy peers over my shoulder, looking at the screen as the two women talk to each other.
"Well, looks like she's with her sister."
"Her sister?" I ask, finally turning my attention away from the screen and looking at Percy.
He nods. "The one you were supposed to marry before everything changed and threw you for a loop."
Narrowing my eyes at him, I scan the people in the lobby, searching for Brody, who I saw a few moments ago before I stormed outside.
As soon as my gaze lands on him, I walk over, interrupting his conversation with one of his men.
"Do you know where your daughter is?"
He turns to me, cocking a brow.
"Which one?" he asks, his lips twitching with amusement.
"Ha ha, funny. I'm asking about Alicia," I state, frustration laced in my tone as I struggle to hide my annoyance.
He looks off thoughtfully for a moment before turning back to me.
"I do in fact know where she is, yes."
I glare at him, but he smirks at me, toying with me when I'm already on the verge of lashing out like the bad-tempered idiot I know I can be.
"Would you mind telling us where she is?" Percy asks, moving beside me and loosely wrapping his arm around my shoulders as he shoots a polite smile towards the man in front of me. "Dominic here was just a little worried about where she disappeared to, and I think it's gotten his panties in a bit of a twist."
Brody slaps a hand against his chest as he laughs loudly, and I push away from Percy, turning my furious gaze on him.
He shrugs, seemingly unbothered by what's occurring.
"I think your friend here always has his panties in a twist," Brody adds, chuckling slightly. "As to my daughter's whereabouts, she should be back at her new home by now, settling in."
"She's at my apartment?" I ask, confused.
"I believe that's what I said, yes."
"How'd she manage to get in?"
He sighs and narrows his eyes. "Are you not aware your mother gave her the code word this morning, and also spoke to the concierge to ensure Alicia would be allowed in?"
Shaking my head, I scoff in disbelief.
Of course, my mother is behind this.
Without another word, I walk away from Brody, out of the venue, and across the large driveway towards the car park hidden around the side of the building.
Percy darts ahead of me, unlocking my car and jumping into the driver's seat as I walk around and enter the passenger side.
"Let's go and see what damage the little viper has done to my apartment already."
Chapter Fifteen
Dominic
Stood in the elevator, making my way up to the apartment, my stomach is in knots as I think about how unprepared I still am for everything in my life to change.
