I shake my head slightly.“No.”

“Then where do you want me, Angel?”

My heart beats faster. My lips part.

“I want you to take me to bed, Theo,” I say.“Will you?”

His voice is rough, low, and reverent when he speaks.“Anytime you want me, all you have to do is tell me.”

Then he leans in and kisses me.

Gently.Carefully.Like I’m something precious.

But I’m not made of glass.Never was.

So I fist the collar of his shirt and pull him down to me, kissing him back with all the want and need building inside me like pressure behind a dam.

I’m bruised, sure.I’m tired, definitely. But I talked to the doctor before I jumped ship from the hospital.

My concussion’s mild.

I’m fine.Not fragile.

I want him.I choose him.

And when I open my mouth and slide my tongue against his, it feels like everything finally clicks into place.

“Take me to bed,” I whisper again.

This time, he groans—deep and guttural—and stands in one smooth motion, lifting me into his arms like I weigh nothing at all.

It sends a thrill through me.

Because every curvy girl deserves to be swept off her feet at least once in her life—and this moment is mine.

He carries me upstairs with single-minded focus, his arms strong and secure around me.When he sets me on my feet beside the bed, his hands linger at my waist.

“I love you,” he says again, voice raw.“God, I love you.”

I reach for the hem of his shirt, tug it up and over his head.My fingers trace new bruises blooming on his ribs and shoulders.

He got those for me.Protecting me.

“Does it hurt?”

He shakes his head.

Still, I kiss each one with care, and he does the same to mine.

We undress each other slowly—clothes falling away like barriers we no longer need—until there’s nothing left between us but skin and truth.

He kisses a path across my belly, my hips, both breasts, up to my neck.

I tremble with every touch, every breath.

He’s so perfect like this. When he’s loving on me, it’s like no one else in the entire world exists.

“There is no one else in the world. No one but you, Angel. You’re it for me.My love.My perfect girl.”
