Gio’s mouth tightened, telling me all that I wanted to know. “You will want to see what we have received. Time to ask your cyber expert to fucking step up.”

“How the hell did this happen?” I fumed, looking at the DM that Katy had received in her email messenger. I was pacing the study, furious that some anonymous asshole had threatened to force himself on her. Luckily, she hadn’t opened the app yet. My men had already hacked her email and were following every single activity. They intercepted this message only to find the profile deactivated within minutes. That fucking bastard!
“Clearly, it was meant to intimidate her. And this guy knows his stuff in the cyberworld. His IP is not traceable, and he’s just leading us in circles at this point.”
I listened to my best friend, and cyber expert, Ryker, speak on the other end. I was on speaker mode, and the Falcone brothers were also listening intently. They had the power and ability to destroy a physical threat, but were helpless against cyber threats. Precisely why they had brought me in.
“Delete that shit right away before she sees it.” I growled, running a hand through my hair. What the fuck!
“And what the fuck do we do next?” Noah snarled.
“We wait.” Ryker promptly replied, gaining scowls from Noah and Rhett.
“How the fuck long do we wait?”
At the other end, my nerdy best friend sighed. “Look, I can tell this from experience. All these guys slip up sooner than later. And that’s why I’m asking you to wait. In a matter of days or weeks, he will slip up. Trust me.”
“I’ll call you back. You keep the surveillance in full swing.” Without bothering to hear his reply, I disconnected the call, tempted to fling the phone against the wall.
Rhett got up from the desk, his gaze thoughtful. “Or top priority is to keep Katy safe and away from this place. I will get things in motion.” He looked at me before continuing. “Give me all your requirements for a safe space. I’ll make it happen.”
Noah nodded, seemingly in agreement with the plan. Gio glanced at me before looking at the brothers. Knowing my half-brother, I knew what he was thinking. I, too, had the same thought. What would we tell Katy?
“Even now you don’t want to disclose the stalker to your sister?” I asked, knowing I could be physically harmed for challenging the Don.
“Damn right you won’t.” Noah got up from the chair in a threatening move. “You will shut the fuck up and focus on protecting my sister. I never want to see her retreat in fear. Ever again. Not until I’m alive.”
Looking at the cold, dark eyes of the former Don, I understood why people feared Noah Falcone. Clearly, he was a force to be reckoned with.
“Understood.” I nodded, swallowing my opinions, however valid they might be. I was past fear with these men, considering Katy and her feelings. But we had to remain as one team to get to the bottom of this.
???
Later that night, I walked into my half-brother’s place, located right next to the Falcones’. After the discussion, or rather commands, from the brothers, I spent the day grouping with my team to identify all the requirements for a safe space. I was fucking exhausted and wanted a drink. Preferably away from my charge, who made my blood sing in my veins.
The sweet girl may not know the exact reason she was on the move, but at least she should have a good time. I was determined to pick a place she would enjoy staying while we took care of the motherfucker who dared to threaten her. Honestly, Tinselford, a small town not too close to Honey Valley, seemed like a good bet. I owned a cabin there and could vouch for the safety measures.
Also, the town screamed holidays, which would be perfect right now. Over the last few days, I noticed Katy ordering decorations and starting the holiday prep along with Jasmine, Alia, and Izzy, the new personal chef who’d joined the Falcones’ staff.
I sauntered into the kitchen, wanting to grab a glass, where I noticed a grim-faced Gio already there. The personal chef had caught his eye, and I knew he was fighting the attraction. For once, I could empathize with him.
“Care to tell me what Izzy is doing here?” I asked when I noticed he’d brought her from her place to his.
With a shrug, he ignored my question and placed the glass he’d been using on the counter.
“Really? Is that your answer?” I wished he could see what was visible to the rest of us. His attraction to Izzy. That lucky motherfucker, his girl wasn’t forbidden to him.
“Fuck off.” He growled. “Do you think I didn’t notice how possessive you are with Katy?”
I scowled, clenching my fist at the mention of Katy. “You know nothing about Katy or our friendship.” I glared at him, knowing I couldn’t deny or lie to my brother.
“Friendship? Is that what it’s called these days?” He calmly ate the dessert the little chef had made specially for him.
Ignoring the flash of anger that I didn’t bother to hide, he continued to dig into his dessert. “Here’s a thought, brother. You stay the fuck out of my business, and I will do the same. But a word of warning. Noah and Rhett haven’t noticed whatever the fuck is going on between you and Katy. Yet! But it won’t be too long before they do. I hope you come to your senses before then.”
