She loved the sound of that. She loved that he thought of her as his girl.

Lying on her side, he was still spooning her.He had one arm under her head and the other around her waist, holding her in place as he fucked her slow and sweet.

“Oh, my God.This feels so good.”

“Fucking right it does.I couldn’t stop thinking about this while we were apart.I missed this with you so much.”He leaned forward to rain kisses along her neck, ending below her ear.“I fucking love you, Sadie.”

“I love you, too, Jed.”She raised her hand behind her, tunneling her fingers through his hair, and held on.“I’m not going to last. It’s been too long.”

“Don’t hold back.Give it to me.”

Her hips pushed back to meet his thrusts, the pace picking up the closer they both got to coming. The sounds of their breaths sawing in and out and their bodies slapping together seemed loud in the otherwise quiet room.

“Oh, shit.I’m going to come,” she warned him.

“Bury your face in my arm if you’re going to scream. We don’t want to wake up Oliver.”He grunted with each thrust of his hips.

Her orgasm slammed into her so fast, she had no choice but to do as he said. She turned her face toward his arm, her teeth sinking into his bicep as she growled with her release.

“That’s my girl,” he gritted through clenched teeth.“I’m going to come. You ready?”

She released her jaws from his arm and nodded.“Yes.Come for me.”

It was his turn to sink his teeth into her.He bit into her shoulder and groaned long and loud as his hips powered into her until she drained every last drop from him.He remained buried inside her as they both fought to catch their breath.

He hugged her close and kissed her shoulder where he’d bitten her.

“I know you heard me when I said I missed this so much.I know you probably think I fucked around the whole time we were apart, but I swear to you, after I saw you at the clubhouse telling Darren you were pregnant, I wasn’t with anyone else.I couldn’t even if I wanted to.You had my heart even then, but I was too stubborn to admit it even to myself. When I told you I love you last night, I meant it.Without you and Oliver, my heart doesn’t beat.”

His cock softened and slid out, allowing her to turn over to face him.“I know that sounds corny, but I swear it’s true.”

She cupped his stubbled cheek, her eyes skimming over his face as if memorizing his every feature.“I don’t care if it sounds corny. That’s how I feel about you.”

He swooped in fast, capturing her mouth in a soul-stealing kiss.He poured everything he was feeling into that kiss, and she rejoiced in it.She prayed she wasn’t making a mistake by allowing him back into her life again, but her gut told her she wasn’t.She was serious last night when she told him she might shoot him if he ever broke her heart again. It wouldn’t be a fatal wound, but he would definitely feel her wrath.

They made out for a few more minutes until her bladder begged to be emptied. They both hopped in the shower and would have gone another round, but they both thought it best to be dressed and in the other room when Oliver woke up.He was going to be surprised to find Jed here.

While they were rinsing the shampoo from their hair, she had to ask, “Are you okay with me carrying Darren’s baby now?Because the fact that I’m having his child is never going to change. We will always have a connection because of that.”

His hands settled on her waist as he spun her under the hot water.“If Darren can be excited about being a dad to Tuck’s baby, why can’t I be excited about being a dad to Darren’s baby?”

She sucked in a sharp breath. Was he serious?Did he mean that?“You would want that?”she asked him.“To be a dad to my baby?”

“Yes.More than anything.”She watched him closely for any sign of doubt or lie to what he was saying and could find none.“In case you missed the part where I want to be with you and I would walk through fire to prove it, I hoped the part where I said I love you would clue you in that I’m in this for the long haul. You, me, Oliver and the baby. And maybe, one day, I can have my vasectomy reversed and we could have one or two of our own to add to the bunch.”

Thanks to her stupid hormones, her eyes filled with tears. She wasn’t normally a crier, but here she was fighting back tears.“You would do that?”

“For you?Absolutely.”He dropped his mouth to hers for a kiss. When he pulled back he reminded her they needed to finish up and get dressed so they could be ready for Oliver.

Sadie was pouring herself a glass of juice while Jed was making himself a cup of coffee when Oliver stumbled into the kitchen yawning and rubbing his eyes.

“Good morning, Oliver,” she greeted him.

“Morning, Sadie,” he replied, still half asleep.

“Why are you so tired, buddy?”Jed leaned against the counter, his cup halfway to his mouth.

“Jed!”Oliver’s eyes popped open in surprise as his head jerked in his direction. It took a beat, but he took off like a bullet, wrapping himself around Jed’s middle.“You’re here!”
