Sure enough, they’re still there, both looking around.

Probably looking for us.

“Hey,” Georgia beats me to the punch, her light, sweet voice probably going to have a much better outcome than mine in this situation.

“Hey!” Brody says, relief visibly flooding his face. “I was worried about you. Where the hell were you?” He takes a steptoward us, and then stops, his eyes dropping to our interlocked hands.

“Oh…” Emmett echoes the same expression as Brody, his gaze locked on the way I’m holding onto Georgia. “Turns out three is better than one,” he says.

“I guess you felt left out,” Brody lifts his eyes to mine. “So you had to make your move?”

My jaw tenses, but I do my best to stay cool—no different than the courtroom. “I’ve wanted her since the first time she stepped onto the boat, just like you guys.”

“Except we had her first.”

“And you chose to share her,” I reason, shrugging my shoulders. I bring Georgia’s hand upward and press my lips to her knuckles. “There’s no harm in one more, if that’s what she wants.”

Emmett’s expression softens as he looks to Georgia. “You’re right. It is her decision, and if that’s what she wants from us—to be with all of us—then I think that’s fine. At least,” he looks to Brody, “with me. I can deal with it.”

“Good.” I then tilt my head at my best friend. “Brody?”

He sneers, his arms folded across his chest. “I don’t know. This is a lot.”

Georgia lets out a sigh, using her free hand to brush her hair from her face. “I can’t deny that I’m attracted to Miles, just as much as I am to you guys.” Her voice comes out soft and strong.

Brody’s face grows red, but then he shakes his head. “Okay. I can handle this, if that’s what you want.” He looks back to Georgia. “I want you too much to let you go.”

“So then, it’s settled,” I grin.

Georgia is mine now, too.

Chapter 14

Georgia

“They’re ready,” I set the pan of homemade cinnamon rolls onto the table in front of Miles, Emmett, and Brody. All of them are basically drooling, and Emmett, as per usual, is the first one to grab for one.

I laugh as I step back, tossing the towel on the counter. As I do, my phone buzzes in the back pocket of my jeans. I fish it out, expecting to see Daisy’s name on the screen, but instead, I see my father’s.

Shit.I’ve been avoiding him since I left on the trip with Brody. I take a deep breath and silence the call.

“Everything okay?” Brody arches his brows at me.

I purse my lips, tempted to tell him the truth. “Um…” I open my mouth, and then choose not to go there. “It’s nothing. Just spam.” Honestly, I don’t want Brody or any of the guys worried about my father.

He’s barely in my life anyway.

Not to mention the delicate balance between the three guys. It’s only been a few days, and while everyone seems to be adjusting to the fact that I’m seeing all of them…

There are still moments of tension.

But I guess it just comes with the territory.

“So, I have a meeting with one of the editors from Travel USA,” Emmett speaks up, shoving half a cinnamon roll into his mouth. “I don’t know how long it’ll take, but he’s been wanting to talk to me about some idea for a new publication for some time now. He was waiting until we docked here in Charleston.”

“Ah, well, I hope that goes the way you want it to,” Miles says. “I need to get in contact with a few of the guys at the firm and see what happened at court yesterday. We have that corporate lawsuit with the Montana oil company.”

“So you’ll be MIA today, too?” I offer up, folding my arms across my chest. It’s not like Icareif they’re busy. Honestly, I could use an afternoon to myself to process what’s going on with all of us.
