“Ah, what about him, has he managed to get his hands on your very pert and adolescent tits?” she asked Lizzie a little more darkly now.

Again, Lizzie nodded making Mickie laugh.

“Daddy is going to love this,” she cackled and then pursued Lizzie some more. “Have you touched him Lizzie? Held his boner in your pretty, innocent, little hands?”

Another nod from Lizzie as a tear ran down her face forced Tasha to decide that Lizzie needed to get out of there quickly.

“I do love first love. What about his hands, has he got them into your panties, Lizzie? Has he put his fingers into your pussy yet?”

“That's enough!” Tasha got to her feet. “Have I prostituted myself? Yes, yes, I have and it's not something I'm proud of but I’m no longer ashamed of it, because of Jim. There is nothing you can reveal here that will put a divide between me and Jim. He knows everything about me and my family, everything I have done and why. Let Lizzie go, and Juan, they can't give you what you want or need,” said Tasha confidently.

Mickie eyed her warily before pointing at a video camera nearby. “This is all going down in history. This is for Jim. He will know exactly what went on in here and all the revelations so even if you all get out of here he will never, ever look at you the same way again.”

The sound of a sob from Lizzie was enough for Tasha to move even closer to Mickie where she repeated, “They can't give you what you want or need.”

“What I want is Jim, but you took him from me, so how do you plan on giving me what I want or need?” Mickie asked with cold certainty.

“You know that no matter what goes down here you will never have Jim again, so I am guessing you plan on playing theif I can’t have him, you can’tgame.” Tasha knew that was the exact plan here.

“You bet. I may have underestimated you, you know, your bulldog spirit,” Mickie sneered with an exaggerated English accent. “I thought if Jim saw your immaturity he would tire sooner, but even after your ridiculous starvation plan, he worried rather than getting tired and pissed off with you. The ex-boyfriend, needy siblings, he just kept coming back for more. He told me when you were in the hospital how special you were, and how afraid you were of me being in your lives. He even told me how you refused to add me back to the wedding list even though I was potentially dying of cancer.”

“You weren’t though, that was a lie,” Tasha retorted.

“Shame really, not that I want cancer or to die, but he would have come to me, cared for me.”

“He wouldn’t,” Tasha disagreed. “He told you at the hospital that he wasn’t the person to help you through your non-existent disease.”

“Yes, he did, and he told me you thought he was going to say I was pregnant with his baby when he told you I had cancer. That you were devastated and felt you’d be unable to compete with a child we shared.”

Tasha was slightly startled at the details of what Jim had told Mickie regarding her feelings about her, but she reasoned that when the revelations were made Jim was in a dark and bad place, plus she knew Mickie was probably taking his words out of context, twisting them to make her doubt him so simply dealt with the facts.

“I wouldn’t have been able to compete because you would have used a child to gain advantage.”

“Damned right. Shame I didn’t think of that though. He’s a sucker for a baby, not that I want a child, never have, hate the whiny little bastards almost as much as I hate you!” Mickie shouted at Tasha, breathing her alcohol filled breath in her face. “I can’t believe I didn’t think of it. I got pregnant before, twice, accidently, once with Bobby’s bastard and then with the now ex-husband of your new friend, Katy Myers. I knew I couldn’t keep either; Bobby’s because that would have put me off limits for Jim forever and the other, well, once I’d seduced him away from his wife, he bored me. At least you didn’t play that one or I would have had to have killed you both, you and your bastard child. Now, what shall we do next?” Mickie asked with a smile that was too wide and too bright.

“Let them go, both of them, and then we can continue to the end,” said Tasha.

“The end? You know what the end is, right? I am not going to prison so one way or another this is my last night on earth and yours too.” She grinned at Tasha, oblivious to the increasingly noisy sobs and cries from Lizzie and now Juan.

“Please, Mickie, just let them go.”

“One of them. You choose, which one?” Mickie looked surprised at her own plan. She grinned a wide and satisfied grin that suggested this choice wasn’t going to be as easy as it should be for Tasha.

Tasha turned to face them both glancing from one to the other before settling her gaze on Juan. “Sorry, Juan. I need Lizzie out of here. I need to keep her safe.”

Juan nodded. “Of course, I would have been mad if you'd chosen me over Lizzie.”

“So, Lizzie is your choice?” Mickie didn't wait for an answer. She stepped forward towards Tasha who never saw the blow to her temple coming, only sensing she was falling, then she heard cries around her before nothing.

Chapter 10

Coming to, Tasha winced, wondering where she was and what was happening and all too soon she realised and remembered. She was lying on the kitchen floor, cold with the feeling of another body against hers, Juan's?

“Juan,” she called groggily before seeing Mickie staring down at her. “Juan,” she repeated.

“Surprise,” called Mickie as the body leaning against Tasha's moved and let out a little cry.

“No,” cried Tasha as she sat up, turned and came face to face with Lizzie. “No. No. I said to send Lizzie out. She's a child. I needed to keep her safe. I made the appropriate choice,” sobbed Tasha thinking of all the times Jim had accused her of making an inappropriate choice, not thinking before she acted and yet, this time when she had it had still ended badly. One look at Mickie’s smug and sinister smirk of satisfaction confirmed that Tasha could never have made the right choice. The right choice would never have been permitted.
