“You have too much time on your hands if that is what you've come up with.” Jim pulled his track bottoms on.

“She's okay, though, Tasha? And you and Tasha, right?” Bobby sounded worried.

“Yeah, she's good, still a bit freaked out by everything that's happened, but we talked and we—well, I don't need to draw you a diagram. We're good, thanks.”

“I'd really like to see a diagram if you have one though.” Grinned Bobby.

“No chance,” shouted Jim as he threw his wet towel in the direction of his brother's face.

Chapter 7

Tasha had almost forgotten the reason for inviting Bobby and Abby over together until after lunch when Jim said, “Tasha and I have been talking about the wedding, our wedding.”

“You haven't had a change of heart then?” Bobby laughed at his own joke, making Tasha laugh too as she shook her head.

“No, quite the opposite.”

“We are going to Vegas, at the weekend or early next week and we were hoping you'd both be free,” said Jim.

Abby let out a loud squeal making Tasha smile and Jim and Bobby wince.

“We haven't told anyone else,” Jim said, thinking Abby holding this in for the next week was a big ask.

“And we're not going to, not until afterwards,” explained Tasha, on the same wavelength as her fiancé.

“We thought we may get Kayla to organise what everyone would believe is our wedding at the vineyard, but it will be more of a reception.” Jim smiled thinking he and Tasha were almost like a tag team sharing the details.

“We're in. I'm sure Maisie will happily take care of Alexi for a few days or my parents,” cried Abby excitedly.

“If not, you could bring her, but we were hoping to keep it quiet,” said Tasha, hoping her subtle reminders would ensure Abby kept a lid on the news.

“Let me check my schedule, but I think I can square it.” Bobby smiled broadly, glad to see his brother and his wife-to-be looking genuinely happy.

Both women smiled across at each other, struggling to contain their excitement while Bobby simply raised an eyebrow that his brother had indeed gone with the joke plan of ensnaring lucky seven quickly then taking her to Vegas before she changed her mind, although Bobby couldn’t blame Jim. Why wouldn’t he want to marry Tasha? She was bright, funny and off the scale gorgeous, plus she got his brother in ways his previous wives never had. She made him happy in ways none of the others even came close to. He then turned his attention to his own wife who was giggling like a schoolgirl with Tasha. Abby looked vibrant and sexy as hell with her throaty laugh and excited clapping. Remembering his own previous marriages, he frowned. He should have waited for Abby to come into his life, like Jim wished he’d waited for Tasha, but then neither of them knew that what they’d previously felt wasn’t enough, wasn’t the real deal. It certainly hadn’t been for Bobby and he knew that with the exception of Sara nothing had ever come close for his brother either. It was his brother that interrupted his inner musings by changing the topic to the morning at home while he’d been at work.

“So, what have you two been up to all morning?” Jim looked across at Tasha.

“Nothing much, just chatting really, catching up.”

“What's with the new horny teenage boy in my house?” asked Jim seriously.

“A friend of Lizzie's,” replied Tasha calmly.

“Who? What's his name? Who ran him through security?”

“Ah.” Tasha nervously looked across at Abby now. Abby who had been spot on about his reaction to anyone new entering the house.

“Tell him,” encouraged Abby.

“Tell me what? Is this what I walked in on earlier, in the kitchen?”

“Yes.” Tasha’s confirmation came in a low whisper. “Promise me you’ll stay calm and not say anything to Lizzie in front of her friends.”

“Just tell me what has happened,” ordered Jim impatiently.

“Not until you promise. Promise me, please. I don't want her to be embarrassed by you in front of her friends.”

“Tasha!” Jim’s impatience had turned into annoyance.
