“Bastard!” she muttered under her breath. He knew exactly what he was doing with his words that aroused her until she could feel exactly what he’d described. She squeezed her thighs together, hoping to supress her excitement and felt dampness there, dampness that refused to be supressed, much like her desire.

She reread the text and blanched at it but decided she needed to fight fire with fire. If Jim thought it was acceptable to provoke her with talk of him and the Carters then it was clearly okay for her to taunt him in the same way.

She watched as Lizzie, Alexa and the boys moved onto another ride. She wondered how she had suddenly becomebabyagain, from his suggestion that he shared details of the Carters to his general annoyance at her interaction with Dean and now she was baby and he wanted them to be alone.

She looked at the message and reread it a couple of times then sent it as Philip appeared with more ice cream.

“You’ve had enough,” said Juan.

Philip continued shovelling his ice cream in as Tasha’s phone beeped. Tasha smiled as they were joined by Lizzie and Alexa.

“Can we have hot dogs?” asked Lizzie.

“Yeah, course.” Tasha handed Lizzie some money.

She pulled her phone out and checked Jim’s response.

She frowned at the text and wondered where his fury was, the threats of what he was going to do, or not do. She felt confused, but most of all she felt disappointed. She wanted the fury, the passion, the threats and those thoughts only added another layer of confusion to her already addled mind. She needed clarification, to know what lay ahead and if the fury she’d have predicted was likely to put in an appearance at some point.

He put his phone away and smiled at how things were going. He had been pissed, still was a little, but Bobby had made him see that this situation was of Tasha’s and his own making. He should have insisted on buying her an engagement ring in London and made her wear it after announcing their intention to marry and by now he should have a date in his diary, but he hadn’t done or got any of those things, but he intended to, soon. He smiled as he saw her on the pier with his children, laughing with them and he thought that Philip had been right when he’d said,No matter where Tasha goes there is a queue of horny men virtually drooling over her. Yet for some reason she chooses the old man.Yes, there was a queue of drooling men, but she had chosen him and it was true love; like Bobby had said too,so long as it’s you that she wants to be with and it’s your bed she’s sleeping in you have nothing to worry about. They were both right and he would be an idiot to make too big a deal of every horny guy that wanted to be with her, but he would not tolerate her flirting and flaunting it in front of him like today, but that would wait.
