Tasha reread the message and thought that this could be too much of a coincidence if Angie had been contacted for the low down on her as well as Gerry. She did however, laugh, loudly at Angie’s final comment. Still feeling a little woozy she took herself off to bed and text Jim who would be at the office still as it was four in the afternoon. She was about to start writing when she got a message from Kayla.

Tasha smiled at the brief, abrupt message which was very Kayla.

She composed her message to Jim.

Tasha lay back against her pillows and smiled as she waited for a reply.

He really did get her; he knew that she would rather speak to him about her concerns, even though he didn’t know what they were. She hit the number for him and he answered immediately.

“Miss Winters, how lovely to speak to you again,” he joked.

“And to speak to you too, Mr Maybury.” She laughed back.

“So what is worrying you, honey?” As much as she teased him about it there were times where she needed his no nonsense, getting straight to the point attitude.

“When Angie text earlier she said that she’d received some odd enquiries about me from a guy sniffing around by the name of Michael Rose, but it means nothing to either of us. He is an American and seems to be digging for dirt according to Angie, but she sent him packing. It just seems an odd coincidence to me,” admitted Tasha feeling incredibly nervous at the dirt that could be dug up on her and her fucked up family.
