“Let me know when you land and I will call you later, okay?”
She nodded and climbed out of the car followed by Jim who handed her the case she’d struggled to fasten. He watched her head towards the departure lounge until she disappeared from sight and sighed heavily as he considered just a week before he hadn’t even met her, and now he was completely hooked.
Tasha had looked back just once and after seeing him looking at her she knew she couldn’t look back again or she’d cry. She had fallen head over heels for Mr Crazy Control Freak and wasn’t sure how she would get through the next few weeks without him. She wondered if there was a flight to Vegas today instead. Pushing that crazy thought from her mind she approached the check-in desk and handed over the printed ticket from Jim’s computer.
“Thank you, Miss Winters,” said the tall willowy blonde with a perfect smile behind the desk.
“Oh, let me just upgrade you.” She tapped on the keyboard for a few seconds while Tasha began to protest.
“No, no upgrade. I’ve booked economy.”
“You’ve been upgraded Miss Winters to first class, it’s on the screen, all paid for and arranged.”
Of course it was; Jim hadgiven infar too easily at her insistence on flying economy. Her bag disappeared and she was directed to the first class departure lounge where she wandered around the outlets and bars as she took her phone out and text him.
She laughed at hisignoranceof the situation.
Tasha laughed loudly at hisinnocentquestion when they both knew exactly how and why she was in first class travel.
His words were fun and light-hearted, yet totally accurate because even when she said no to Jim it usually and very quickly became a yes.
