Those two realities raced back and forth in my thoughts before I finally and mercifully fell asleep on the couch. I didn’t wake up until long after the peacocks squawked the next morning.

FRIDAY

THE ROSE PALACE PAGEANT SCHEDULE: DAY 3

JEMMA’S BROADWAY BUTT-BUSTING WORKOUT: 7 to 8 a.m. Join Jemma once again as she sings and dances her booty to beauty.

BREAKFAST: 9 to 10 a.m. A breakfast spread will be served in the Primrose Ballroom.

INTERVIEW PRACTICE: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contestants are invited to mingle in the gardens of the Rose Palace and are encouraged to run through practice interview questions. The judges will be available for specific concerns as needed. A light lunch will be provided.

PRACTICE AND PREPARATIONS: 2 to 4 p.m. The ballroom stage will be open to allow contestants the opportunity to do sound checks and confirm the timing of their performance. Remember that all numbers must be kept to under three minutes.

GILDED AGE DINNER: 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy a specially curated meal with authentic Gilded Age menu, décor, and attire. The guests will include contestants, staff, and the judges.

On Saturday, gates open for the public to peruse the “Through the Decades Centennial Show” tents and attend the grand finale.
